7 of us played on 12/7 at 11:08 and 11:16. A week prior I called to see if they would allow us to have riders with us on the course and the man on the phone said no problem. When we arrived the three people said no chance, they do not allow more than 2 carts per group the starter was the worst in saying that it wasn’t going to happen because it would slow down the round. Funny how our round still took 5 hours due to a very slow tournament. After some arguing the girls took the car and went and explored Palm Springs. Joke is on fantasy Springs as we were going to stop by and spend more money after the round but that didn’t happen.

As for the course conditions they are fantastic right now as expected. Tee to green everything grass related was well manicured. Greens ran smoothish with medium fast speeds. Only thing to pick on was the sand wasn’t the best and the POP was horrendous. There was a tournament playing from the tips and these guys had no business playing from the whites let alone tips. The Marshall was super friendly and apologetic as there was nothing he could do.

Because of the service it will be a awhile before I go back as it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Many tee shots stopped where they landed. Greens were receptive and ran mostly true, but a little on the slow side at around medium pace. You really had to give uphill putts a rap. Traps were mostly compacted wet sand. Was only in one, but buddy was in a couple and were not easy to get out of. Pace over all was good. It could have been better. The two groups in front of us were playing from tips and had NO business doing so! It was hot and sticky. Easy recommend.

Played on 12/26. This was my first time playing Eagle Falls after years of wanting to get out here. With all the great reviews I have read and the 9.03 rating, the course had a lot to live up to and it did.
Check in was fast and easy. Not much here as far as club house or snack bar or bar, but it's not why I wanted to come here anyways. They paired us with a very nice couple from Canada and we tee'd off right on our 11:16 tee time. POP 4 hrs 15 min. We did not use the range, but it looked very nice.

Tee boxes - In very nice lush shape. All were level and had normal divot damage.

Fairways - Wow, were they ever perfect. No brown could be found. Ball always sat up nice. Fairways undulate, but not to severely. Some of the best I have ever played on.

Rough - Long, thick and sticky (Golf version of a Montrose song). The rough was always on hills and if you though you might get a lucky bounce out of it, forget it, not happening. The rough was dark green everywhere and would grab your club and ball. Framed the fairways nicely.

Bunkers - Was only in one and had nice sand, could use a little bit more, but i am not complaining. Saw one green side bunker with lots of new sand just waiting for a crew to spread it out. The bunkers are deep and

Greens - A little slow for my taste, but in great shape. they were medium speed but downhill putts and chips could get away from you. If you only read your putts from behind the ball, you will have trouble here. You need to look at them from a side angle also or it's going to be a long 3 putt day.

Overall I loved the course and can't wait to get back out, maybe for a springtime round. If the wind kicks up it is going to be a very tough course. There are some forced carries, like 150 yards over water, but with the breeze we had in our face that day it made the drive a little more nerve racking.

Played out here this afternoon with GK'er xazntigerx and his friend from Michigan. We had an 11:48 tee time and teed off right around then. Starter warned us there was a big group of resort guests out on the course ahead of us. Front nine went quicker than expected without much waiting until we hit the 9th hole. Then, things slowed down as we caught the group ahead on almost every tee box. Still not as bad as it seemed, though, and we finished in a little over 4 hours.

Course conditions were excellent as it rounds into peak season form. Tee boxes, fairways and rough were all lush and nicely maintained. A few soft-ish spots on fairways, especially in front of the greens. Not many run-up shots today and sometimes a delicate chip off of a tight, yet soft lie. Rough was lush and quite thick, at times punitive and at times not too bad depending on the lie. Sand traps had good sand. One I was in was kind of wet and compacted, though. Greens firm-ish, but reasonably receptive and rolling well at medium speeds. Kind of slick on downhillers, but not super fast this time of year.

This was actually only my second time here since my very first GK Event back in 2012. I've been eager to return and I'm glad I finally made it back. Worth the wait. This is a great course and I really enjoyed the round today, even if my score wasn't anything to get excited about. Worth a look among many of the top Coachella Valley public courses, though good deals can be hard to find unless you stay at the resort.

I have been dying to play this course and finally did last Saturday. I am going to be harder on Eagle Falls than most courses as the competition is stiff in Palm Springs with world class golf destinations down the street. Eagle falls is a hidden gem and a very unique concept. Every golfer at least once needs to play Palm Springs in peak season. The weather and mountain backdrop can't be beat. The fact you can play a premier course in Palm Springs in peak season for $95 rack rate on Saturday morning can't be matched. Eagle Falls offers spectacular backdrops of the mountains. However, the best thing with Eagle Falls is that it may only appeal to hard core golfers. (This makes it great for us, because it keeps the tourists and cost down) If you come from the east entrance it's scary. It feels like you are driving down a street in Baghdad. The road is destroyed. There is zero curb appeal. The parking lot is tore up, the signs are weak, and the pro shop is an old portable. My friends were concerned with me when they showed up. The pro shop is bare bones. It's a depressing site in the snack shop. DO NOT EAT THE FOOD HERE. I had the worst breakfast burrito of my life here and we all agreed this was the worst food we have ever eaten at a golf course. The staff joking says they keep the money on the course and want people to go to the casino versus eating here, which makes sense to allow $95 tee times. The practice facility is awesome. Driving over the bridge to the course is exhilarating. I don't like to be negative on reviews but this golf course needs a new starter. That guy was the most obnoxious long winded guy I have ever dealt with and basically harassed us as we tried to putt and warm up. Before we went off I was talking with him on how I write reviews and how much my buddies and I play. Then before we go off he proceeds to talk to us like we are 8 year olds who have never played golf in our lives for a good 10 minute speech. It was horrendously awful and needs to be stopped and changed by management. He got our hole group nice and annoyed before we teed off. Now the golf course is absolutely epic! The conditions are near perfect here. My friend said this his new favorite course and one mine as well. It's nice and wide open and fun. Not overly penal. The holes spectacular as well. The turf is just one notch down from being tour level perfect. The sand is very consistent to hit out of, but is a dirty course rock and isn't the high end fluffy stuff. We all commented on how the greens were absolutely perfect and the perfect speed. The greens were easily the top 3 greens I've ever putted on competing with Pasatiempo and Pumpkin Ridge. Our group only noticed one bounce the entire day on a spike mark. The 18th hole is an amazing show stopper. Pace of play was unbelievable for a Saturday we never waited once. It terms of pure golf it doesn't get any better than Eagle Falls. If you are looking for amenities look elsewhere.

Some dry areas in the rough that distracted somewhat from a visual level but did not affect my play. $39 rack rate last week made it a real bargain. I understand they are going to overseed starting October 1st. Glad I got out to play it before that.

Other than the distant I-10 noise (which I rarely noticed), there is nothing else here. Great course. Amazing conditions. Nice staff. Amazing bargain. Highest recommendation.

Greens were on the firm side and were smooth with a medium roll. Maybe a touch above.
Rough was a little on the thick side and really made a difference shooting to the firm greens. Was in two traps and they were in very good shape. Many of the tees were crowned or uneven.
Just another great day at a really good course. The two hour drive is completely worth it. This track continues to be my favorite in the valley.

Played here 1/8/18 on a relatively cool cloudy day. Few sprinkles dropped on us but not enough to effect our golf. What can I say about Eagle Falls? Its one of my favorite course in the area and I am always pleased with the experience here. It has great layout and conditions are always in top notch condition. Bunkers could be little better but I'm really being picky here since I've gotten to play at Mission Hills Country club and their sand.
Customer service by the cart guys could use little improvement but not bad enough to deter you from coming to the course. These guys seem to want to be anywhere else but here. Proshop guys were cordial so no issues there. This is one of the course I always look forward to visiting and it never disappoint. Hopefully I'll get another opportunity in the future.
