Played 9/9/17 I look forward to when I get a chance to play this course. Especially when I get to Tee it up with fellow GKers- Nick & Matt. I really enjoy the design of this course. The conditions are typically not as "Lush" as many other courses in the valley. This day they were very fantastic. Played three other courses over the weekend and these would rate one of the highest. Fairway's were excellent. Ball sat perfectly and were firm enough for a good roll out and soft enough to make perfect divots. Greens were in great shape. Rolled well at medium speed and held shots well. Rough not too thick and in good shape. Sand in good shape as well. Customer service excellent. They have a good warm up area & putting green with range balls included in price. Add this one to your choices of play!

Not much to add from Nick's previous review. The course was in very fine shape considering it is September in the Coachella Valley. Fairways and rough were really quite good. Greens maybe a step behind the fairways, rolling medium slow but consistent. Bunkers were excellent and you will find them on this design. As a 3-some we finished in about 3:45 as some wind was kicking up as we finished. Solid layout and very much recommended.

Played the Eagle tees (6715/72.8/133) in 4H, 20M with rudyclub and lotrgolfer48. Thank to Tim & Matt for a fun round! The weather was in the 90's, overcast with little wind. There are many individual holes that I really like on this layout. Par 72. Three par 3's, three par 5's and TWELVE par 4's. Excellent mixture of risk reward, medium and longer par 4's. so it's keeps things interesting. The course was in excellent late summer condition overall. They do not offer twilight rates here, same price AD. The Bermuda tees were lush and well maintained. No challenges with level lies. Both the Bermuda fairways and rough were lush with occasional bare patches. VERY good considering they will be over seeding soon. The sand traps were just okay, the only part of the course not well above average. It is a challenge with the wind to keep an adequate amount of sand in traps on the north side of I-10. The Bermuda greens putted medium speed and were firm with few ball marks. Many greens had some pin placements where you could expect some fairly severe breaks. If you missed the fairway, you hoped the rough caught it, because most holes have native areas that they play like a water hazard penalty where your ball is likely gone. There is also a generous amount of water hazards on this course, there are almost no holes where penalty shots are not just waiting to jump up and bite you on anything crooked. The customer service was exceptional. The starter was very organized and on top of things, the groups were going off on time like clockwork. They have your name and tee time printed up waiting for you on the carts. There was a staff of cart people who transported your clubs from/to the parking lot and cleaned them after the round. Both the Marshall and drink cart were very present throughout the round. Complementary range balls are included with your golf fees. The carts were newer with advanced GPS including a video tour of each hole with tips on how to best play the hole. Definitely recommended.

Was out in La Quinta for the 4th of July weekend and found this gem thanks to Greenskeeper so my son and I and some friends tried it out and boy I'm glad we did.

I had a booked a 3some and my son's friend decided to come out and play at the last minute. That last spot was filled when I called to add the fourth but Matt was able to arrange it so that we would have our foursome and push the single on two groups behind. Couldn't have appreciated that effort Matt made on our behalf more. Thanks, Matt!

This course was an absolute gem. Couldn't believe how green it was from tee to green. It's a very challenging golf course. Not a lot of room to miss outside the wide fairways. Greens were a bit bumpy and slow but held shots and overall very nice. The layout was incredible with each hole offering a little something different.

$49 summer rate with all the balls you can hit. We were the first group out on the course so pace of play was not an issue. We had two beginners with us but were able to keep ahead of the group behind us at all times but having them pick up after double par.

Will definitely come back out to play this one!

Played 3/25. This course has all grass driving range and short game area with unlimited balls included with your green fee. Great layout and the conditions are always amazing here. It's completely green from edge to edge, you cannot find a bare spot. Tee boxes are level. The fairways, unless you're in a divot, you get prefect lies. The rough is as should be, your ball will be in 2 inch long grass that will make it difficult to make good contact but not impossible. Great bunkers. Medium firm and smooth greens but slow.

I’ve played Eagle Falls Golf Course a few times before, always in fantastic condition, and this time no different. I just posted a few photos here on GK. Fairways were like carpet, bunkers white sand and well kept, rough was dense lush tough to escape, greens smooth firm yet typically slower than I’m used too and tee boxes groomed lush. Course is immaculate.

Got a friendly greeting when we arrived, was informed they would be replacing the golf carts very soon with a new fleet and the current carts might have battery issues, but our carts performed fine during the round. Glad they did, was pretty hot out there on an unseasonably warm day for March.

Saw the on-course service 3 times and the cart came with 4 bottled waters. I always pack a couple bottled waters in my bag when playing a desert course so no dehydration issues for me. There are no water stations on the course so be prepared on hot day.

The golf course does not have a clubhouse and is operating a couple nice big trailers. I don’t have any issues with that but if you like to experience a clubhouse environment it’s important to know. The course does however have an excellent driving range and practice putting green.

It’s a fun, beautiful, fair layout loaded with many memorable holes. We played the white tees at 6100 yards which was short for me and my only other choice was the blue tees at 6700 which was too long. Would love if they added a set of tees at around 6400.

I can never get enough of the track - highly recommended!

Played with some other GKers on Sunday, 3/12, at noon. I always enjoy playing this course, one of my favorites, so even though this was my first time out after winter I still enjoyed it! This has to be one of the best maintained courses in So Cal. It's absolutely gorgeous! Fairways were perfect- I didn't see a single bad spot and never had a bad lie caused by poor design or upkeep. The greens were gorgeous but they got slower and slower as the day warmed up. It's ok, they were beautiful and they broke true. I wasn't impressed with the sand I was in. I don't know if they were all the same but the one I found was crunchy on top. First time I've ever had them be anything less than fluffy so not sure what was going on. The snack cart came around several times per 9. The carts have a nice GPS, an ice chest pre-filled with ice and 4 bottles of water, and clean white towels. Pace of play was great. The clubhouse monitors cart movement and will send you a note or send someone out to see what's up if you slow down too much! I played the far forward Owl tees this time and while I think this course is very well designed for women I missed a little of the challenge that playing from the Falcons gives. Over all had a great time, on a great course, and enjoyed the beauty that surrounded us all day!

Played 3-12-17 with the Gurus. Fun time out on a course I had never played before: Greens: Greens were smooth with minimal ball mark damage. They were running right around medium, but we're pretty firm and difficult to hold with anything but the most well-struck wedge. Definitely took some time getting used to after primarily playing on softer LA-area greens. They were very well maintained and visually pleasing. Fairways: Fairways were smooth and lush with minimal divot damage. Players seemed to be mindful of replacing their divots and using the sand provided on the carts. There wasn't excessive roll out, so shots in the fairway tended to stay there. Rough: Rough throughout the course was penal but fair. It wasn't excessively thick or spongy. Greenside rough was certainly penal and I definitely had a little trouble navigating it, which was frustrating when combined with the firm greens. I had a number of shots just run through the green into some relatively thick and gnarly stuff. I caught a couple flyers out of the greenside rough that led to some long comeback putts, though unfortunately I can't blame this wholly on the course while discounting my poor wedge play ;) Tees: Tees were very nice and level with minimal divot damage on the par 3's. Bunkers: I was in one greenside bunker and one fairway bunker and they were both on the thin/firm side of the spectrum. While this wasn't a problem in the fairway bunker, it made things difficult coming out of the greenside bunker onto the greens that were so firm. POP: Pace was right around 4 hours, maybe a little more. I really enjoyed the course. It was challenging without being tricked out or unfair. The opportunity to score is definitely there. Good shots are generally rewarded and poor shots are penalized. The layout is fun in that no two holes are too much alike. As others have mentioned, the lack of water available on the course was a little disappointing. Granted, you do get two free bottles per player to start, but in the Palm Springs heat, those could be gone pretty soon and with nowhere to refill, it can get a little dicey. Customer service was generally good and we saw the cart girl twice. I'm definitely looking forward to another shot at Eagle Falls one day.

Fairways were in great shape with minimal roll out and great lies to hit from. Rough was very lush, 2-3 inches and thick. Was in two bunkers that were a little thin and firm. Greens were in very nice shape, a little firm and slow but very smooth. Course is in really nice shape right now and definitely worth playing.
