Got out for the first time in almost 4 weeks yesterday. Having a newborn takes a toll on the time needed for golf, haha! But wouldn't change it for the world!
My friends and I decided to play the Goose, since a lot of us haven't gotten out in a while.

Played the Blues, 6,500+, and a slope of 126, I think. We started exactly on time at 7:59am. For a sold out Saturday (no tee times we're available since the prior Thursday), POP was still a leisurely 4 hours. We didn't wait on anyone, and no one waiting on us. I guess 9 minute tee time separations make a world of difference.

The course is in spectacular shape. The only thing I could comment on is the inconsistency of green speeds. Some were really slow, and some were medium. But non were fast by any means. Might have to do with the overcast weather in the morning, and then clearing with sunshine a few hours later; but it was a dramatic difference.
Tee to green it was lush all around. The rough, while thick, wasn't too penal.
The bunkers looked hard packed, but when hitting out, the sand was soft.

All the recent reviews are spot on, and i highly recommend right now. If the Goose was closer, I could see playing it more often.

Played Goose Sat. 6/24 at 8AM with my usual two buddies and found the course very close to what we normally expect. Staff was great upon check-in and starter was helpful getting us off and running. Tee boxes are all in great shape. Fairways are also in great shape. They must have been mowed a couple days ago because the clippings were visibly brown against the green fairways. Greens were smooth and semi fast. If other golfers would fix their ball-marks, we'd all be better off. Goose is almost always in very good to great shape. Great value, and we'll probably return again sometime in fall/winter.

Played Monday 6/12 @ 7:30 am as a single, hooked up with a threesome. Weather was sunny, zero wind, felt like playing indoor golf. POP was a little over 4 hours, never waited on a any holes. As for the condition of the course one thing that really stood out would be the greens. I don't think they changed the hole locations from the previous day. On #1 the cup was all beat up, tons of foot prints and this weird white foam (same foam that was on the practice putting green). Plus the locations didn't match the score card. The greens were soft, your ball would leave huge divots, somewhat bumpy, medium speed, not the best I've seen them. Usually you can tell when the greens have been mowed and the new hole locations have been set. Other than that, tees and fairway were perfect (please people fill your divots) rough height consistent. Condition wise it doesn't get any better. I'll be back, give the layout a few more weeks for the greens to firm up and get quicker.

Had the chance to squeeze in a round on Friday at Goose Creek after a nearby meeting got out a little bit early. Unfortunately we had to call it after 15 holes to make it back to LAX in time for my friend, but it was still a great chance to get some time in at the Goose.

My friend from out of town had never played at GC before and came away with nothing but positives (especially after playing even par on the front 9!). We've played numerous courses in LA whenever he comes out to visit, but he made it a point to say that the Goose was the best one so far and that we should definitely return. I must concur.

Great conditions at GCGC right now - from the driving range to the greens, everything is just in tip-top shape. Green fairways, thick rough, nice sand, outstanding tee boxes and, best of all, greens that are simply divine right now.

Is Goose a tough golf course? You certainly need to be on your game, but it's a very gimmick-free track that allows you to save yourself in many ways. It's not made overly difficult just for the sake of it. It certainly rewards good play and allows you to feel very confident with your shots, with maybe the one exception of the super intimidating 18th hole - that one will make you sweat.

But Goose Creek is just a feeling of golf the way it was meant to be played, and all of that in a gorgeous setting with no shortage of thrills along the way. There's a lot of construction going on around the property right now and I fear that in the years to come there will be a lot more housing infringement on the outskirts of the course, but for now it's simply perfect.

And to top it all off, the prices are outstanding for what you're getting. We paid $69 for our 11:30ish round on a Friday with a cart. At other courses you could pay double or triple that and not have as good an experience. Goose Creek - keep doing what you're doing because you are definitely doing it right.

Played on Sat as the 2nd group out. Great pace, finished in just over 3 hours. The small holes that "zeppelin51423" experienced appeared to be gone but the greens were still slightly bumpy. Medium speed. The rest of the course was lush from tee boxes to fairways. Bunkers had good sand and consistent for the most part. Saw the marshal a couple of times even before 9am, which was appreciated.

Played on Saturday May 27th. I was expecting perfect conditions and that is what we got, except.... for the greens. I was very surprised to see small residual holes from what appeared to be 1/4" tine holes? The grass has grown around the holes nicely but everyone in our 4some agreed there was some sort of small tine punching that had been done recently. Perhaps they did some minimal maintenance earlier in the week. I'm not saying these were your typical punched out greens but the putting lines didn't run all that true and the speed was about medium at best. Given the recent reviews I was expecting pure putting surfaces so I was a bit let down, but all in all the course was still in tremendous conditioning.

The course its self had very lush conditions and posed a decent challenge, especially around the greens. I found myself with tricky pitch shots and having to navigate the contouring of the greens several times with a wedge in my hand. I really do enjoy this golf course and will definitely be back later this summer.

I played here on May 16, 2017. The course was in OUTSTANDING condition. The tee boxes are firm and level, some of the par 3 tee boxes did have some big divots. The course was very lush and green, the are also firm, so a good low flighted shot will run an additional 15-20 yards. The rough was a playable length, about 1" - 1 1/2". There are a lot of bunkers throughout the course, so you will land in at least one. The sand is firm packed, but you can slide your club threw the sand. The greens are rolling really fast. The firm greens and tightly mowed greens = FAST, but true rolling. There are a few hole with some multi-tiers. The practice facility is really nice. Huge practice putting area, nice short game area for pitching and chipping. Highly recommend course to play.

Played in GURU outing along with 7 fellow Guru members. My 4some consisted of putt4dough, rudedog, and weber2323. Goose Creek hosted a qualifier earlier in the day and the players were just finishing as we tee'd it up at 1:00. played the back tees and I stepped onto some tee boxes that I have not been on before at Goose. Course was in top notch conditions and the marshall was kind enough to run some pin sheets out to us as the pins were in tournament position. Tee boxes were in the usual great condition. Fairways are short and you must compress the ball to get the best results as always. Greens were running typical Goose fast and no bumps so putts rolled true, Mike, (Weber2323) burned too many cups yesterday, He should have had a fistful of birdies. I was only in one bunker and it had enough sand to get my ball back to the fairway. Rough was fairly thick but gave you opportunity to recover from your errant shot placements. Pace of play was fantastic as we never waited and played at 4 hours and watched the other Guru group finish up on 18 with the brutal back pin position tucked up next to the water. What a fantastic day. Thanks to Ross and all the great people at Goose Creek for having GK Guru event on such a perfect day. Missed JohnnyGK out here though. See you soon Johnny

Just as noted by the earlier reviews, the course was in fantastic shape from tee to green. Although we played the blues, 5-6 of the tee boxes were set up at the tournament tees which could often be 50 yards behind the blues. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, and greens would all rate 8+/10 for me. The greens were quick and sometimes appeared to gain speed going uphill. They were a little over medium/fast and rolled very true. Biggest disappointment for me were the bunkers, of which I found a few: there were quite a few rocks and pebbles among the fairly thin sand.

This was my first time playing at Goose Creek and I loved it. I will definitely be back for another round before too long despite the hour+ drive.
