Course is in fantastic shape from tee to green, even the bunkers had about 2's of sand. Only problem was pace, first time it took us over 4 hours to complete a round. It took us a little over 4 1/2 hours today waiting on every hole. 2 weeks ago the marshal was rushing everyone and today he was just sitting on his butt drinking coffee all morning. Will definitely be back as $38 is a bargain for this course.

Those of you who are old enough remember the saying "that nobody doesn't like Sara-Lee", well it also applies to the Goose. How can you not love this course. Always in great condition, decent pace of play, loads of fun to play, and while getting more pricey, still worth the $$.

Anything positive I can say has been said over and over in prior reviews. Course is in great shape, so get out and enjoy one of the more enjoyable tracks in Southern California

Played Sunday, 1/25 with a large group of Gk'ers and LA Golf Group at twilight. Always enjoy playing Goose Creek and they are always accommodating to our group. Play once a year as its a long drive for me but always worth the effort as you are treated to fast greens, lush fairways and an interesting layout. Wind was up on this day and hitting greens was challenging due the wind and shaved falloff's around the greens. Found myself chipping up to tucked pins with no room for error or you would just be chipping again from the other side or the same spot. Probably like this all the time but i didn't remember this aspect of the layout from previous times played. Its great when play a course that challenges you in different ways each time you play it. Conditions and pace of play were outstanding and rivals anything close to this price range, great value. Outstanding practice facilities and clubhouse provides all expected. Cant wait for the next time i play here. Those that live close should feel fortunate.

Joined up with the LA Golf Group on meetup.com at Goose Creek for their Kickoff Classic. Teed it up with GK’ers Mattias, Hunter7 and future GK’er Ben. For those of you that don’t know about the LA Golf Group its run by GK’er tonybarrett and with Paisano lending a helping hand. Great time!

I don’t get many opportunities to play Goose Creek so when a late opening came up, I jumped on it. It’s a great layout with great conditions. The closing 4 holes on Goose Creek are just fantastic in my opinion even if hole 18 always eats me up. The conditions were very good, greens fast, mostly smooth, although very firm. Fairways mostly lush. Rough mostly lush and tee boxes mostly lush. My only complaint regarding conditions was the bunker sand quality. I found a few and they were all very firm to hard packed sand. It costs me a few strokes trying to adjust. Hit a home run out of the right greenside bunker that led to a double bogey.

Practice facilities and service were very good. I like the big grass range and large challenging practice putting green. Clubhouse is just what you need with a comfortable dining area and fun patio to hang out on while watching groups take on the 18th hole.

Goose Creek Golf Club is well over an hour drive for me from Westlake Village but if it was just an hour drive, I would play it often. Recommended.

Sunday afternoon with the Meetup.com LA Golf Group league kick off tourney. Great POP, nice practice facilities. The greens were in great shape, showing a little poa late in the day, but rolling fast and true. Super windy for the first 14 holes then it just stopped. Great conditions from tee to green, except for the bunker sand, which was on the thin and firm side. Wishing this was closer to me as the Goose is definitely one of my favorites. I will be back.

Got out this morning and course is nice shape. Greens are consistent, fairways short but not real tight. I just wish they would have sand in the bunkers, it's the only thing that holds this course back from a 9. It sure is nice to play 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours.

I have no real complaints about this place. But this are some "issues" that you might encounter.

- I booked my tee time through the phone with them. When I got there they seemed to be having trouble finding tee times on their sheet 9almost like if someone forgot to put them down) No big deal he found my tee time, the guy just wrote down the wrong first name.

-When I booked my tee time I asked the guy how much it was he told me $49 when i checked in he told me $52 SO I had to pay $52. Got a small bucket, to the driving range I went.

- It was prime time... They have a good size driving range but they only had like 15 stalls open. So I had to wait like 15 mins for a stall to open up. again im a pretty patient dude so it wasnt a big deal.

The course was in great shape, greens rolling really good. I have no complaints about the POP or the course itself. Its definetly worth the green fee. I honestly wish it was a little cheaper because I would play here all the time if it was.

(oh they are adding a bunch of stuff to their practice facility like 2 more chipping greens and putting greens)

Other than those 3 minimal things that happened (which is not enough to keep me from playing here) It was a great time

The course was in its usual great condition and the weather was perfect. POP was 4 hours. The rangers kept it moving nicely. It looks like there will be some nice new practice greens there shortly. Maybe one of the best features yesterday was the sand. Unlike many local courses, the bunkers were full, dry, and well-raked.

The Goose remains the best value in Southern California-go play it!

PS-if you do, please fix your ball marks...
