Totally Killer ...........it's sick what a nice public course this is.............too bad the L.A. City courses cannot hold a candle to "The Goose"..............and this place gets ALOT of play........kudos to the maintenance staff and greenskeepers here......kudos to the "ladies and gentlemen" who play this course (and actually repair their ball marks......what a concept)......and kudos to the friendly staff who work here and make you feel special...........I live quite far from this course but will be DRIVING out here weekly because this is what golf is all about..........and I am at the point in life where surrounding myself with people who love and respect the game as much as I do is a GOOD THING.........

This is a great course to play. The tee boxes were in excellent condition as were the fairways. The greens were soft but still played fast. Course was not crowded at all, we only had to wait a minute or two on a couple of holes and was never holding anyone else up. Be prepared to loose a few balls though. There are more then a couple of holes that will swallow up a slightly stray ball. This course was definitely a good challenge. I most definitely plan to play here again.

Great deal during the week, $49, course in great shape. They didn't mow the greens this morning so they were a little slow and the pin positions were pretty easy. Cart girl and marshall doing their thing, gnats flying into the mouth and eyes while riding the cart, cows mooing ... the usual GC stuff. Oh, 55 and older play for only $39. Worth the drive.

Played the Goose Monday 7/27 as a two-some with my brother. Got there early for our twilight time and were told to go out whenever since it was fairly wide open. After a leisurely warmup, we did. Enough has been written about the particulars of the course and, as usual, it was in very nice condition. Can't think of a negative except the driving range slots were a little worn and might have been due for a position shift. The greens had been recently cut/aerated with fine diagonal lines (verticut?) and it did not seem to make any difference to line or speed on any putts -- everything seen to roll true, medium quick speed. I didn't hit any bunkers but my brother did and the sand looked good. Fairways were fine. Temps were in the high 90's but there was a wind that both helped keep it comfortable and had to be factored into club selection -- probably a one club +/- on average. No cart girl or marshal in sight and no other golfers within two holes of us until the 17th green when a rather fast-playing couple appeared on the fairway behind us, seemingly out of nowhere. Mostly felt like we had the course to ourselves and it fit our desire for a relaxed round together perfectly.

This is a must play for everyone!!! Great driving range,putting greens and nice chipping area.Friendly staff and course the golf is awesome.You wont find many country clubs in better shape.Have fun!

The greens were excellent. Actually the entire course was in very nice condition! Very crowded, which validates both the condition and the value & enjoyment of this wonderful course. I always enjoy the Goose, even with a 5 hour round, 97 degrees and a lots of wind. Despite these elements, still had a great time.

Went out as foursome on Sunday (at) 2 pm. Paid the twilight rack rate of $49. It was about 98 degrees on the course. Conditions were magnificent. This is a pretty flat track considering all the e... Continue »

Went out as foursome on Sunday (at) 2 pm. Paid the twilight rack rate of $49. It was about 98 degrees on the course. Conditions were magnificent. This is a pretty flat track considering all the elevation change courses nearby (Oak Quarry, Hidden Valley). The layout is pretty simple, if you miss right, ur ball is a goner. The greens were very well maintained...and bunkers were raked nicely...Wind was about 15 to 20 miles East to West. The back nine was brutal mainly because of the wind. Pace of play was great. We let a two some play through and didn't have to wait all day. Finished in 4 hours. Overall, great place to play. Not too challenging. Customer service was good; wish they would have coolers on the cart or let us bring coolers on plus 90 degree days. Plenty of water coolers were available with cups. Will definitely come back.

Walked on at 1345. Very VERY hot day - didn't see a cart girl but the water coolers were still full and cold. Greens seemed to get a bit faster with the intense heat - 101'.

Still no marshals in evidence. And I know there was a foursome almost 2 holes behind playing 7 when I got to 5.
But, as ever, an extremely well maintained golf course with excellent layout.
