The course is in very good condition and the staff is very courteous, but only one complaint. You play this course in anticipation of the 18th hole, and unfortunately it is currently a 150 yard par 3 due to some storm damage. The starters should tell you this before you make your reservation. There is no discounts of any kind except for senior rates.

Played Thanksgiving morning. 18 is still playing as a par 3, but looks like its pretty close to being playable to its normal par 4 soon. Except for about 3 or 4 greens that appear to have some kind of disease or fungus, the greens were rolling quick, very true, and medium soft. If they can get their problem areas fixed, this course will be playing beautifully.

Rained last week and the course still wet.
Greens slow and had some dead spots.

Good layout but relatively easy track.
$65 on weekends is high in this condition. Found out later that they gave some breaks to complaining golfers but our group was charged full. d%mn it.

This is one of my favorite tracks but it got hammered last week (10/19) with the rain. For the next week or so it will likely be cart path only and there are 2 holes playing as makeshift par 3's including the always tough No. 18.

The longer term problem is that they are killing spots on many greens to preserve an all bent grass surface.

Expect the greens to be marginal on some holes until December at the earliest. Still a great track, worth the drive and the green fees.

The bunkers have improved since i last played here but are still a little to firm around the greens but are great for the fairways. A great course to play.

Same old same old. The Goose rocks!! Played at 6:42 AM on Labor Day. Under 4 hours.....great conditions (are people actually starting to fix their ball marks??)

Alta Dena Dairy poop smell is definitely "in the air" on a hot day like Monday was. As are the horse and cow flies. We call them "The Goose Creek State Bird". Not the most pleasant smell on the planet - but the course is great and overall in excellent condition.

So, buy a nose-clip and a can of "Deep Woods Off!" - and play The Goose. You won't be sorry.

First the bad news: 1) Played on a Saturday (8/28). 2) Played at 11:00 A.M. 3) Played immediately after a tournament. 4) FIVE-HOUR round!! 5) Never saw a marshall!!

But - The Goose is stll a great course.....even if you do have to wait on every single shot of the day.

But - there were only 79 of them, so I can't complain!

Oh....I'm used to getting an early start at The Goose. The winds REALLY pick up there in the afternoon! PLAY EARLY!!

Cow poop smell was pretty heavy on Saturday! And the geese are back!! BIG TIME!! Goose s%$# everywhere!!
