First off this Monday morning at Hidden Valley. A little chilly at 6:30am, but not bad - warmed up quickly. Not very crowded, so just took my time, played two balls and enjoyed the crisp fall October morning. Still able to finish in 2:40, (because I played 2 balls it takes a while longer).

Greens were pretty good, soft, receptive and rolled reasonably true. Bunkers were hit or miss. Tees had recently been worked on so they were not in the best of shape. Otherwise the course was in nice condition. fairways were green and lush in most spots, so course played long at times.

Staff was great !

Played this AM in a POP of 4 hours using the GK coupon (great deal). Customer service excellent at all levels (thanks). Course was a little wet from overnight condensation and watering but dried out nicely, but not until we got closer to finishing (so not much roll in the fairways). Tees have just been aerated but caused no issues. Fairways provided great lies all round. Due to the dampness it made the rough very tough to hit out of. Greens were great and though cut were not overly fast, but they putted/chipped well and were soft enough to hold well hit shots (and absent of divots/great). Traps were raked/clean and no issue. Wind came up earlier than expected and made 16/17/18 difficult to play. Had not been out to H V in sometime and highly recommend and I won't stay away as long this time for the next round.

am sure happy the rumors of years ago about this course closing were jut that .... rumors. A very challenging track, especially when you play from the "tip" There are some very tough tee shots from those tees. ( #1, #2, #5 #6 #12 and #17)

Hidden Valley is a very good golf course! Played here on Friday 10/16 using the GK special. 8:16 tee time. POP 4.5 hrs. It's all about the tee ball here. Put it in play and you can score well. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens were all in excellent condition! The greens were smooth, medium to quick, with enough undulation to make you pay attention, or else! There are many elevation changes also which means club selection is very important. If I wasn't 60 miles away this would be my home course.

Played August 22 during mispd morning. Got a good deal here as they had recently punched greens.

When we arrived, i was immediately impressed, as the views down the canyon quite spectacular.

Went to the driving range, which was decent enough. Practice green was nice (aside from the aforementioned recent punching.

As for the course, the fairways were lush and quite nice. Most sand traps had a good amount of sand in them. Greens were quite good, considering the recent punching.

Only real complaint was that the tee boxes were not particularly level, but all were still quite playable.

All staff Members were fantastic (pro shop, restaurant, and cart girl). Really impressed with the staff.

Played Tues 7/21 8AM tee time. Enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, got out to tee abt 7:50 with a 4 some just teeing off. Two of our guys are playing a tourney here this weekend so took our time with shots, and practice putts on the greens. The course - tee boxes were nice not chopped up, fairways were lush to some thin spots. Some of the fairways showed effects of the storm runoff, with some mud but did not affect play and the crews were out doing maintenance. The greens had just been lightly sanded to protect from drying out, so they ran a bit slow and took some getting used to, will probably be faster this weekend. Not many players out there, the 4some in front of us we kept in sight, no one behind us until around the 12th, a single who was practicing, hitting 2 balls, and ball hawking, so not in a hurry. He was joined by another single around the 14th so we le them play through. Customer service was great - friendly front desk, good, quick service at brkfst, great service at 19th hole. Cold Beer and snacks. They were setting up for a soccer coaches seminar, but they told us to take our time.

Staff is always great here, never a problem getting out early and playing around at a great pace. Fun day !!
