Played here this afternoon with Itslikeimsayin. We booked a 12:53 hot deal through GN for just $16. We started off behind a couple of horribly slow groups, so we had to skip a few holes and that definitely saved us a lot of time. Finished in a little over 3 hours.

Mark pretty well covered the conditions in his review. Overall pretty good. Tee boxes fine. Fairways had some bare spots, but mostly had good lush coverage. I always had great lies to hit from. Rough more inconsistent, but not much of a factor. I wasn't in any bunkers, so no comments there. Greens were very good, soft, receptive and rolling at medium speeds. They are only punching 1-2 greens at a time this fall, so only a minor nuisance on a few holes where the recent aerations showed.

I almost always enjoy this course. Good value, decent layout and solid conditions. I'll be back.

Played out here today on a 12:53 GN Hot Deal with sixpez. We started a few minutes late, paired with a single and slotted behind a slow foursome with a slow fivesome ahead of them. After 3 holes, we saw nothing but open holes ahead of that fivesome, so we created our own routing and skipped to the 7th hole. Everything worked out well as we went back and played 4-6 after 18, and as a result, slashed what was slated for a 5-hour round into a tidy 3:10 POP.

Conditions are pretty good, highlighted by smooth greens. This course has adopted an "aerate in stages" approach, which meant a few greens showed evidence of recent aeration and the rest are normal. The par-5 15th was the worst green, recently aerated and heavily sanded but rolling somewhat smooth nevertheless. The 10th green looked like it had been aerated a few weeks ago, and one other one did, too. The remaining 15 greens were smooth, medium speed and very soft and accepting of shots. Fairways were pretty good but somewhat thin in spots. Same for the rough. I was in one bunker and it was good. Tee boxes were decent, although maybe the low point of current conditions.

Early morning tee time on Sunday. Had not played here in many years and the course is looking good. The course is very green which was a big surprise with all the heat they have in this area. Tee boxes were level and filled in, fairways and rough also had good coverage. Was in a couple of traps and the sand is very coarse and compact. As mentioned before the greens are in great shape holding shots well and putting true. Only problem with the greens are some unfixed ball marks that are not the fault of the course. Greens are huge and rolling at medium speed. Customer service was great, had a flat on our cart on the third hole and a new cart was out to us as we left the tee box. The same young man that brought us the cart saw us on #10 and asked about the cart and explained the work that is being done on the course. Course is priced good and POP was at four hours.

Played the Blues (6124/69.1/122) in 4H with Hermgolfs. We used a 2 person voucher from Golf Moose that with the GK June Discount ended up being $22 per person. The weather was very overcast, fairly calm and in the 70's. Older, traditional Billy Bell layout that is tree lined and meanders through rolling hills and middle class homes. No frills but very functional clubhouse, no cart person on course today, but the customer service was excellent in getting us processed and on the 1st tee. The course conditions ranged from good to mediocre, often within a few feet. The tees were decent overall, but a few had large chewed up areas that needed more regular divot repair. The fairways were 80% good, but the other 20% make me mark them down. Many areas that were lush. However, there were fairly significant areas in many fairways that should have been marked as GUR. To their credit, several trouble spots in fairways & rough were being watered as we played. The rough had good coverage close to the fairways, more spotty the farther you were from the fairways. The many mature trees are more of a deterrent than the rough here. The sand traps looked good, well maintained. However, both the greenside bunkers I was in were thin, they looked better than they played. Coarse brown sand that would have been good/excellent if they were about a 1/2" thicker. The greens were the highlight of the course, very good bordering on excellent. Many are very large for a course of this length, you better have you "A" lag putting game because you can easily have 75+' putts here. Medium fast, (faster than they looked), mostly smooth and they held well struck approach shots well. First time I had played here in at least 25 years. Fun, par 70 course (only 2 par 5's) with many scoreable holes if your irons are on. Recommended for a change of pace.

I joined Nickesquire for an early morning round on Monday 6/13, my first ever time playing this course. Weather was cloudy, breezy and cool. Sprinklers were running on many of the holes, as we played. There were only a few other groups out on the course, so our pace of play was very relaxed. Playing from the blue tees (6134 yards/69.1 course rating/122 slope rating) and riding a cart, we finished right at 4 hours.

Since this was my first time playing the course, and Nick's first round there in many years, neither of us knew the preferred angles of approach. The course is devoid of any fairway bunkers, but all par-4 and par-5 holes are lined with mature trees, and fairways tend to be on the narrow side. The green complexes provide the defense for this relatively short course.

Overall, I found course conditions to be pretty good, but with certain aspects that needed attention. For instance, many of the tee boxes had lots of divot damage that had not been maintained. There were a few muddy spots in fairways that should have been marked as GUR. Though I didn't have to play from any bunkers, Nick reported that sand was thin. Some of the greens rolled a little bumpy.

Tee boxes were generally level, and mostly lush. It was easy enough to find a good place to tee the ball.

Fairways were nice - green, mostly lush, freshly mowed, with just a few browned out areas with thin turf. Balls sat up, making for nice play from the fairways. Most divots appeared to have been maintained.

Rough wasn't very penal, a little thicker and deeper than fairways, but thin or bare in some places.

Bunkers (from which I didn't have to play) were maintained, with coarse brown sand.

Green complexes were, in my opinion, the best feature of the course. They are large (enormous in some cases), with margins that pinch in and expand out, creating "hour glass" configurations, and many options for interesting pin placements. There is slope and subtle undulation on most. Some have steeply sloped false fronts. They were visually appealing, generally smooth and soft, accepting well hit shots. Putts rolled at medium to medium/fast pace, and true on most putts. There were some big breaking putts, especially on those tricky front pin placements. Too bad the guys ahead of us weren't repairing their ball marks.

This is a course that I have been interested in playing for quite some time - glad that Nick extended the invitation to play. Now I want to give it another go, as this course is offers ample opportunity to score well if you can hit the shots. Nothing fancy, but definitely recommended.

POP was great. * tight course that can play fairly difficult if you cannot stay out of the trees * Greens are frustrating as there are tons of invisible breaks, luck seemed to play a factor. * paid $49 for 2some on Underpar....felt like a good value since it did include cart. * I would play here more often to tighten up my game if I lived a little closer and could avoid the 91.

While I do not play here all that often, I really enjoy this shorter course mainly because I find the unusual shape of the greens so unique. I'm certain if I played here all the time, I would experience some very fun pin positions.

The course is possibly in the best condition I have seen it. Greens rolled well, fairways were green and the overall maintenance was rather good. Although this is not a difficult course by any means, it still offers enough of a challenge to make it interesting and the price is right. Staff is always accommodating, and I never have an issue getting out early, so pace of play not a factor.

The course is in great shape! The tee boxes were very nice, fairways cut short and green. The greens were darn near perfect. Wasn't in a single bunker, so I didn't jinx myself by checking them. Yes, it is obvious I had a great round! The staff as always were outstanding, Tammy and Julie in the coffee shop to Junior in the Pro shop. Using the Group Golfer coupon, I bought a nice shirt and got the 10% discount.

Played here on April 2. Beautiful day out. Had the air show going the entire time, which made for an awesome backdrop.

As for the course, comditions were really great. Staff was great, as well. Pro shop guys and the bar tender were incredibly nice. Driving range and both practice greens were very nice.

Conditions were pretty good. Fairways were mostly lush (few bare spots). Rough was decent enough. Sand traps (of which i got to encounter many, unfortunately) were kind of thin on sand, but were not hard pan; maybe an inch deep of sand before it became hard pan. Tee boxes were unlevel in some spots, but not terribly unlevel.

Real place that Jurupa Hills shined was the greens. Greens were medium fast, but rolled very true. I did fix a few unrepaired ball marks, but not too many. No dead spots on greens, which was nice.

All in all, i was very pleased with Jurupa Hills for the price. Not busy at all, conditions were pretty good, and the staff was wonderful. Will definitely return in the near future.
