Played the south course today 12/8 at 12:20. Got out for 25 bucks, would definitely come again for that price. Course was overall in good shape. Tee boxes I thought were very nice, level for the most part, not too many divots. Fairways were very good, ball sat up nicely. Rough is thin, not very penal. Bunkers are poorly conditioned, all the more reason to avoid them. Greens rolled smoothly for the most part, medium-slow, a little soft. The layout is very enjoyable and very long from the tips. Definitely hope to play here again soon. Pace of play was around 4.5, barely finished before dark, not horrible pace for a Sunday afternoon but not great.

Played first off on 12/2/13. Very chilly - about 42 degrees. It had been over a year since I last played the south course and I was very impressed with the overall conditions, particularly the greens. I think they are probably as nice as I have seen them. Some scruffy areas but generally the course is in very nice shape.

Staff was great and accomodating. Other than being so cold, it was a very pleasant morning.

Played Tues 11/12 8AM tee time. I agree with the previous review by lotrgolf, looks like we got out before he did. Tee boxes iffy, fairways good, some nice rolls, and occasional dry/wet spots. Greens were slower than I expected, not too many ball marks, some seemed a little bumpy. Bunkers were damp which meant a possible skulled shot (I had one, two other buddies had one). Staff is always great, coffee shop has decent brkfst (used to have a $3 special, now it's abt $6). Rejoined the 55 Discount Card (now called the EXPRESS card). $49 special to end of Dec, green fees are $31 for all of 2014. Not bad deal. No I don't get a kickback, lol. Just sharing golf info, : ).

I don't now how, but conditions here seem the same every time I play it no matter what time of the year it is. Fairways are always pretty good with the occasional burned out patch. Rough is always thin around the fairways and a bit grabby and lush around the greens. Bunkers are always passable. Greens are always slightly slow, bumpy Poa(except #1 which hasn't been overtaken yet). And the tee boxes are always "meh" to "where did the grass go?"
Overall, it was a great day for golf. The guys in the shop were on it during check in and got me out on the course within 15 minutes despite being a little busy. I'll continue to come back as long as I don't have to pay the rack rate!

Played here 11-02-13 715AM teetime. Very friendly staff and starter. For $64 each person, the teebox and fairway could have been in better shape, and lots of bald spots here and there; but the greens are EXCELLENT - Rolls smooth, true to speed, average sized divots. Overall enjoyed the round and pace of play was good, would not jump on to pick this course for $64, but if nothing better would play here again.

Dry conditions on a hot sunny Saturday morning 8/3/13 with surprisingly little wind. The course is converting a lot of the grassy slopes and open areas between holes from turf to bare ground/mulch, and there are currently many areas in transition that give the course an "under construction" look. When these areas all get into mulch this course will play much harder for those whose shots go off line.

Greens were the best part of the course - uniformly smooth, rolled well at medium speed, and held shots. The first green (replaced ~2 years ago) is totally different from all the others- thin, very firm and looks different. The remainder of the greens were identical to the large practice putting green in appearance and speed.

Fairways are generally dry and the grass thin, although lies are OK. The course overall is very dried out and firm. Rough ranges from bare/thin grass cover to scattered fairly lush patches ~2-3" deep. Traps were a little damp but with good sand cover. Some tee boxes, esp. on par 3s, were pretty beat up.

We've ben playing out here at LS for >25 years and almost always have a good experience. They've recently dressed up the parking lot, food is good in the lounge, and we were on grass on the range this morning. GPS in the cart is cheap but the course is pretty well marked and there are few blind shots. Recommended.

Played this past weekend (6/15) and I agree with most reviewers here. The course looks really dried out and fairway lies are very thin to nearly bare. In some areas, there are just patches of dirt with small clumps of grass; if you want to call that a fairway area. The greens were the best part in my opinion. A few pitch marks here and there, but generally fast greens with a decent roll (if your flat stick is working that day). Our partner complained of bumpiness, but his ball just rocketed off his putter face causing such bumpiness and he wasn't rolling the ball well on his putts. I found one green side bunker that played well and my result was predictable based on the lie. Overall, I would rate the golf course at best at 6.5 out of 10. With summer around the corner, this course is going to get really baked if they don't irrigate a little more. Won't be back until reviews improve.
