Course is under construction, so right now is WAY overpriced. Because of dry/firm conditions and many bare spots around fairway bunkers, everything rolls right into them.

Course undergoing major renovations in preparation for 2008 US Open. As a result the tee boxes are in the process of being built, new cart paths are being added. While for the most part, it doesn't impede play, an errant shot may find your ball in the construction mess. One of the par 4s was this doesn't look like a long term problem.
Greens recovering from aeration earlier in the month, still slow and bumpy in parts, but recovering nicely.

BEWARE: The South Course is undergoing major renovations. In addition to punching and sanding the greens, they are leveling the 18th hole. It appears that they are removing all (or most) of the bunkers (temporarily), removing several trees, and generally making a mess. This hole may be playing as a par 3 (as opposed to a par 5) during construction. Surprisingly, there is no reduction in green fees (at least not as of today). I was told that they are going to be doing similar work on several additional holes.

I play the south course alot. We now have a new greenskeeper and the course is in much better condition. By the way,she's a woman! It's about $125.00 to play this course (w/cart) for visitors but wher... Continue »

I play the south course alot. We now have a new greenskeeper and the course is in much better condition. By the way,she's a woman! It's about $125.00 to play this course (w/cart) for visitors but where else can you play a regular PGA Tour stop and US Open course for that amount? If you are a very good golfer be prepared to be humbled because this course will kick your butt. If I can give anyone that plays this course one piece of advise I would tell them to keep it in the fairway at all cost. This course is a must play,period.

Overall good condition. The rough is very brutal. We spent a lot of time looking for our balls. 5 ½ hour tournament round and all of us are single digit handicappers. We were not behind, it just played that difficult. Tees are forward on a number of holes saving the tee boxes for the up coming Buick Invitational. The greens were soft and surprisingly a little bumpy.

Played both north and south course over New Years weekend. Both courses are great but the south is super. Their getting it ready for the Buick Invitational so the course is great from tee to green. The rough is crazy long, the fairways are lush, and the greens look great. The greens are a little low but roll great. The bule tee's are moved up and there is a lot of play on them because their leaving the good part of the tee box for the pro's but there still good. The course is closing down for the Buick on the 1/17 so if you can get out before or right after you will have a challenging but fun round.

Played 12/8. Greens are in good condition. This is an impressive turnaround from a year ago. They rolled pretty true and reasonably quick. Fairways for the most part were just fine. Most of the bunkers on the back nine must have been left in the middle of some sort of maintenance I’m guessing. They were left in some sort of ploughed-up condition which left you incredibly difficult lies for the most part. It looked like they had been dug up by some sort of machine and left that way to dry out the bunker. Very penal, just getting out was a measured success. The rough in places is unbelievable deep and thick. In other places not too bad. Overall the course is in pretty darned good condition. One note, the course is already being set up for the Buick Invitational. Some work crews are working near some tees & greens setting up the grandstands and so forth. It could be distracting to some.

Played Thurs. 11-10 and the course was in very good shape. The rough was very high and difficult to find your ball in it. The greens were very nice, but the putts rolled pretty slow. It rained the night before and I didn't think they cut the greens. There was a thin layer of sand on them but it did not effect the roll and the sand was gone by the 10th green.
