Played at 12:30 pm on 11/18. First nine holes took 3 hours. Unbelievable, considering how easy the course plays. Course is in okay shape, but not great.

Played early morning on 11/2. Third time playing here. Love the course more each time I play it. All aspects of the course maintenance were close to perfect. Smooth greens that held approach shots. Some of the fairways are still a little thin, but most have grown in quite well. Tee boxes were perfect. Wish there were a few less elevated greens. It's extremely important to hit to certain sections of the greens based on where the pin is. Otherwise, you can get some really brutal putts. They currently indicate pin locations using a 1-3 location scheme. They really need to go to a 1 thru 6 or 1 thru 9 location scheme. That way you would have a better chance at leaving your approach shot on the low side of the pin. Especially on the elevated greens. Overall, a great course and a great value.

Played 10/26. Thankfully, all of the smoke was blowing away from the course. Also, we didn't get much wind. I agree with the commentary from past posters. Maybe the greens were a little dried out because of no humidity, but they were lightning fast. You were basically dead if you got above the hole. Loved the course layout. Every portion of the course was in excellent shape. Great value. The fairways were wide, but you needed to be on certains sides to have a good shot into the green. Need to putt better, but I'll return for sure.

Played 10/23. Greens are in very good shape after aerification about 6 weeks ago. A couple of the greens are a little soft so you get some footrprint problems, but overall, they are the best I've seen in a while. The fairways are spotty. Some are green with some decent grass on them. Others have some bare or thin spots. Overall, a good value.

Always a fun layout to play. Greens were aerated about four or five weeks ago. They are almost completely back, but they are so soft they are taking a lot of damage from incoming approach shots. Still, this course is a terrific value for the price. Long Drive, but definitely worth it once in a while.

Played 9/2. Fairways and greens were in better shape than usual. Greens were smooth and cut more closely than normal. I believe the irrigation work has been completed. Great course to practice your approach shots and wedges as the greens are quite small. I think the course is in a little better shape as the Calif. State Open starts this week. Good value if you are a Pasadena resident.

Played 8/20. A little disappointed since playing their several times before. The greens seem to be taking a beating and are not anywhere near as good as they used to be. They were just recently plugged so maybe they'll get a lot better over the next 30 days. There are definitely small bare spots around the greens which I don't believe the aerification will immediately help. They are also extremely thin and dry. The rest of the course seems a little less well maintained also. Maybe it's just the summer blahs, but I was disappointed in its conditioning. Still love the layout though and the $$$ to play. Very fairly priced. Good value.

Played 8/19. Greens were good. Rolled smoothly, slower than they looked. Ball really bit coming in on approach shots. The fairways were most disappointing. Very thin overall and extremely thin in some areas. Rest of course was in good condition. Liked the layout, but you can't hit driver on as many holes as I would like. Course is worth $$$ at $50 twilight or less, but not worth the $$$ at $75 regular fee.

Played 7/21. Course was in fairly good shape. The greens look like they had been recently dragged with some type of light aeration device that left very shallow lines. They really didn't interfere with the roll of the ball much until it slowed way down. The fairways were a little dry and thin in spots. Overall, this course provides great value for the $$$. Nice layout. Lots of fun.

Well, I had the typcial Wilson Golf Course experience. I love the layout. Wilson has some great holes. The greens were actually pretty good for Wilson. Everything was good except for the usual: It took us over 5 hours to play. Especially slow considering this was a Monday after a three day holiday. The marshalls are completely worthless at this course. They just laugh about the slow play. To make matters worse, the two guys we got stuck playing with were betting and making each other mark and putt even 4 inch putts. Completely ridiculous. I love this course, but I won't be back anytime soon.

Played 6/29 early in the morning. Basically, the entire course was in immaculate condition. Only small complaint was the groups in front of us were not fixing their ball marks. I don't understand how you can play a course which so clearly tries hard to keep their greens in perfect condition and golfers don't do their part by fixing their marks on the greens. By the way, the marshalls did a great job today. The course started slowing way down around the fifth hole. They jumped on some slower golfers somewhere up ahead of us and got everyone back on track. I wish more course marshalls would follow their lead. Again, everything about the course was in perfect condition. I highly recommend this course. It's a real shotmakers course with so many various pin placements.

Played 6/25. Teed off at 1:30. First time I had played the course where there wasn't a lot of wind. I can tell you the course plays much easier without a three or four club wind to deal with. The greens were fairly smooth considering you could still see some small holes left over from aeration. Everyone once in a while they would still affect a putt. The fairways were pristine. The course is so fun because you can play such a variety of shots into every hole. Back 9 is much tougher than the front. Only small complaint. The greens are huge and there doesn't seem to be a pin location guide. It can make a huge difference on club selection when hitting into it. I know, I know. It a Scottish course and I'm supposed to "eyeball" it, but hell, I'm getting old -- I can't also see that far. Anyway, love this course. One of the few courses I could play every day.
