Although it took almost 6 hours to play the course the course was in terrific condition for this time of year and the amount of play it gets. The greens were the best I've seen them with a good roll and not at all much bouncing. They held well and were not that badly marked up.
The tee boxes were all in good condition and while the rough in places seem like an test of how many different grasses one could grow together there were no bare spots to speak of.
The biggest downside was the time it took to play. After the 1st hole took almost 30 minutes play I thought for a while it wasnt worth it no matter how inexpensive it was to play. Once I came to terms that I should just enjoy the company, the weather, the walk and the sights and be able to make a swing when I could it became a nice day.

Played on 8/17 and boy I love this layout. The greens here roll true which is all one can ask for. The course plays fair but can be slow at times since players quite often don't play from the correct set of tees as they let their egos get the better of them. Also people sometimes spend a lot of time looking for their ball in the brush or worse yet just looking for any lost balls. The greens were a bit marked up this day but were repairing themselves nicely and did not affect the roll. The fairways were excellent and the rough was thick but fair. The only downside I have found is the noise from the freeway but overall the course is a pleasure to play and some of the views with all the animal life around are wonderful.

Internet special was amazing. Played Friday 05/27at 2:00pm for $29 including cart. Staff was friendly and very nice. Course was a fun track in really good condition, not that tough but still tough enough when the wind picked up. One thing though is you have to get used to all the houses as the entire course is surrounded by them but all in all it was a fun day. The greens however need a bit of help. I fixed no less than 5 divots on each hole and barly made a dent. Players really have got to take better care of the greens out there. Also they seemed to have some sort fungus on them which caused a lot of yellow circles all over the place. Overall I would play this course again.

Played on Sunday, 05/29. Course was very wet in some areas and the fairways needed to be mowed. The greens were lush but really needed to be mowed and rolled as they were very long (some were longer than the fairways) and slow. The fairways have so many different types of grass growing it's like a science experiment out there. The pace of play was slow at best. A much better muni track is Harding or Wilson or another step up is Brookside.

Played 01/17 and the course was not in the best of shape, fairways are thin in spots, greens are a bit rough and full of unrepaired ball marks, tee boxes full of divots and not many are level and the play was fairly slow. While I know it's winter and we have had a lot of rain I did expect the course to be in much better shape.

Played on a Thursday at 6:30am. The course was in the best condition it's been in quite some time. The fairways were in great shape, the greens recovered from the work that was done (although players are still not fixing their ball marks) and were fairly quick for this course. The tee boxes still need work. While they all had grass not very many are level. The pace of play was OK although it could and maybe should have played a bit faster for that time of day. Overall the track was well worth the time and $$.

Played Friday 4/9 and the course was in terrific condition but the greens were much, much slower than normal. I suppose since they are being punched soon they have let them grow a bit to long. Overall the track was wonderful, the weather was nice and the play was never slowed (we finished in about 4 1/2 hours). I have always loved both the Babe and the Ike over the years and this day was not a disappointment.

Overall (except for the greens) the course was in the best condition I have seen it for months. The rain appears to have really helped the fairways and rough. There are still areas where water gathered and is now mud but overall the course drained well. The greens on the other hand were not very good. Since they are planning aerification beginning March 22 they most likely are not spending a great deal of time fixing them. They are bumpy as can be and not much rolls true. Overall the course was in great condition to work on all aspects of your game except putting, the weather was perfect and the layout is quite nice to walk.

Great track but on this Saturday afternoon it played very slow and there was a 25 mile an hour breeze. We began at 12:15 pm and did not finish until 5:40 pm. The wind was a factor in the slow play I believe. Loved the layout and would absolutely play this couse again. There were some rather slow players out there on this day and maybe they should have been playing from a different set of tees but that's public courses. The staff was also a bit cranky at the end of the day in the clubhouse area but I am sure it's because they all wanted to go home. I play courses for the layout and not the staff so their attutide would not keep me away from this one. Overall a great and different game on this links type of layout.

Went out this morning at 6:30 and finished in 3 1/2 hours. Course in fairly good condition but it was a bit frosty at that time of the morning and was surprized we were allowed out. Fairways were good, rough was OK. Greens were in good shape and much faster than usual this morning although there are still several ball marks not being repaired (really a shame that fellow golfers are that inconsiderate by not fixing their divots). Tee boxes really need work. Very few, if any are level but overall it's a nice track for a public course getting that much play.

Course was in terrible condition. Aside from the greens being punched and beginning to recover which is normal this time of year, the overall course was really beat up. Most likely from this past weekends UCLA game but there was trash everywhere, lots of bare spots and not very many level tee boxes. I have played many times after UCLA games and it's always been in much better condition than was the case today. Almost looks as though the entire grounds crew has been on vacation for months.

Fairways very thin and some bare spots still exist but they are slowly coming back a bit. Greens are great but ball marks need to be repaired. Fellow players always repair your divots and when you see divots that have been overlooked or not repaired properly take the time to repair them even if they are not yours! Greens roll very true and are quite fast.
