Somewhat disappointed as the expectations are always so high when i play here. Just an average muni type round on Sunday. 5+ hours to complete got to the 4th hole with 3 groups waiting on the tee box. It picked up after that but it was slow all day. Fairways are a very chewed up and greens have lots of spike marks and badly repaired divots but they still role better than a typical LA muni. I will be back and i look forward to better conditions as I know or hope the conditions are temporary. Still one of my favorites.

Played on 1/13. Course is dry and hard but in great condition for this time of year. Fairways and greens are lightning fast. The wind was up and with the course so dry every slope in the fairway or on the green was exaggerated and your ball just kept moving. Fun day but hard to score well due to difficult conditions. The staff here has always been top notch but on this day I have to give them two enthusiastic thumbs up. Played on a $25 email special and when i got to the course the parking lot was packed as well as the range. Figured it was going to be a long day. It was busy but the starters were so well organized and kept everything flowing. With 2 18's they clearly have an advantage but we did not wait once on the course and finished in well under 5 hours. RR is outstanding in every aspect of customer service. I will back again and again. Forgot to mention that even on a busy day like this every staff member made you feel welcome, they were courteous, enthusiastic and actually doing their job at a high level.

Got out New Years Eve at 9am as a foursome. Slow day at VV due to holiday and the abundant sunshine with 80 degree temps. Got around in 4.5hrs. Normally you can play here in less than 4 hours. Love the layout here but the course can use a little water and care. Overpriced for an executive course but live close by and will continue to play here.

First time playing this course and I really enjoyed the experience. Desert style course with expansive waste areas but generous fairways. The course was in fantastic condition. Lush fairways, level tee boxes and lightning fast greens. Overall great day and I will be back.

Played in the GK event on Friday. This course surpasses most in SoCal for value. Fun and fair layout in great condition tee to green. No frills just a good golf course with a great short game practice area and a friendly staff run out of a trailer, Love it, I will be back again and again.

Fantastic golf experience... As others have already said, the course is in great shape from tee to green. Probably the best conditioned course i'v played all year. The staff was great, everything you need or want was there without ever even noticing them. That is a sign of a well run operation. The restaurant staff was fantastic, fast, courteous, accurate and great personalities. They went of their way to make you feel welcome. This is a golf course that may be a little high on the price but the golf course, practice facilities and the overall experience make them well worth what they charge. I will be back and i can only hope that other high end facilities stand up and take notice at what it means to be a high end course. Thank you Moorpark CC.

Played the new Players course with some other GK'rs. The course is in good condition right now. The fairways are great, lush, soft and a pleasure to hit from. The rough is thick and lush and the tee boxes for the most part are level and lush. The greens are not as fast and smooth as I remember them the last time I played here. They were overall above average but I felt they were soft and bumpy compared to the lightning fast smooth surfaces of the past. Personally I did not care for the green tees but my score was 10 shots better than usual and I do see the benefit and think it is a great option for players. I was on the 9th green with a 10 footer for my third birdie of the round, 3 putted for bogie as I could not stay in the present but the forward tees allowed the for moment so guess if you want to enjoy a better score play the player tees. Tierra Rejada has some pleasant visuals and unique challenges from the tee boxes some of which are cut off by the forward tees. Overal great day and enjoyable round.

Played 1/16 in the OLMGC Scarmble tournament. Pace of play was good for a tourney, most likely due to the scramble format. The conditions are good right now with winter thin fairways, some bare areas that were marked off as ground under repair. The greens are fantastic now, rolling true with very few ball marks and no visible damage. Overall the course is playing good but will get better once the fairways and tee boxes fill in. No motocross noise noted, thinking it’s just some kids riding randomly riding around behind 11 green and 12 tee box. I was there last weekend and it was bad you could hear it for the entire round and when you get by the 12th hole it was defining.

OUTSTANDING!!!!! Course conditions are near perfect due to the Farmers Insurance open coming in a few weeks. The only areas that possibly could use some work are the greens. These greems are a 9 out of 10 but were a little slow and slightly bumpy and that comment was extreamly picky but when compared to the perfect conditions of the rest of the course it was noticable. Tee boxes, fairways and traps are by far the best i have ever played on. The rough is thick, lush and graduated with 3 distinct cuts. The vistas on the front 9 are amazing. This golf course is special, i know its a muni but its nothing like any muni i have ever played.

A tip for anyone playing the course while its set up for the PGA tour. If you hit into the rough just chip it out. The rough is so thick that advancing the ball any more than 100 yrds dramatically increases the spray factor and the next shot out of the rough is always in a place worst than the first.

Played Friday 9/3 (at) 11:50 with a golf now discount. Course was a little slow, played in slightly over 5 hours. Most holes had a couple minute wait for the group in front but not bad as the course was consistently moving but crowded. Now for the good. This golf course is OUTSTANDING shape right now. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in country club type of condition. I don't how they do it considering the amount of play OL gets. The greens are the best part as they are putting true with few ball marks and smooth as glass. Tee boxes are long, rectangular and perfectly level areas of lush consistently cut grass. If you can stay in the teeing areas and fairways you will have perfect lies every single time. Venture off the fairways and even if you find your ball you are most likely in trouble as the rough is 2 foot long in most areas. From outstanding customer service, fantastic practice areas, great course and outstanding value this place is spoiling me. Well done, bravo Olivas Links. At this price point everything in LA at best is second to OL.

Overpriced, Overbook, Overcrowded. I am a local and have been playing this course for several years and have been overall somewhat satisfied with the experience. Today was a different story. 8AM tee time booked via golfnow.com and we were told we will see if we can fit you in? Are they not blocking out those times? So we get out 30 minutes late with no less than 3 or 4 groups lined up on the tee with most groups having 5 per group. A 5+ hour round on an executive course in average at best condition priced at $45 is inexcusable. There are way too many better options out there to continue to pay what i consider to be prices that are reflective of a better golfing experience.

Played Sat June 5th twilight after 1PM. $31 to walk this course is in my opinion one of the best values in the area. Course is great to walk, relatively flat with that cool ocean breeze. Course conditions right now are best I’ve seen here, greens are putting true and fairways are lush and soft, as sometime the fairways at OL are hard and difficult to hit off. Practice facilities are great with 2 greens and a unique pitching area. I think the previous reviewer did not see the chipping green that behind the pitching area.
