Played in the GK outing and the course is great. The greens were smooth, fast and with a lot of undulations. You can easily 3 putt every hole. I learned a little too late to putt from the fringe even putt from 10 yards off the green. If you don't have a high ball flight and can't land it soft, hit your shot short of the green and let it roll to the pin. The tee boxes are in great shape. The fairways are lush and I loved how much roll I got from my tee shots. The rough was thick but not difficult to get out of. I hit my 5 wood without a problem out of the rough. The bunkers, well don't land in one. Most were very difficult to get out of. From what I saw one guy do, it took 4 shots to finally get out of one. The staff was great and very friendly. Overall it is a wonderful course and I will be playing there again soon.

The course plays a little slow at first. Usually after the first par 3, which is the 5th hole, does it start to pick up. The greens are in good shape right now and have some speed to them. I've played Harding many times and this is the fastest I've seen them. There were ball marks that were not fixed, sad to say, but it is expected on the city courses. The fairways were a bit thin, some of them had bare spots. But nothing too bad. The rough wasn't too thick, you could easily get out of it without a problem. The sand traps were horrible. You were lucky not to be in a foot print. People that play Harding don't know how to rake them. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm guessing people don't want to take the time and are too lazy to walk and grab a rake and clean up their mess. Some of the tee boxes were a little bare and uneven, but nothing to alter your tee shot.

Played while on vacation and wanted to take some time off fishing. The scenery is gorgeous. The course is beautiful and in great shape. The greens are pretty fast and challenging with undulations and tiers with very little ball marks. There are holes that have creeks in front of the green and ponds to the right or left of the green which made it a little more difficult. The greens are also surronded by many bunkers. Most of the holes were doglegs. Course knowledge is key. The bunkers were very well taken care of and the sand was soft. My favorite hole was the 7th hole par 3. It has a set of bear paw bunkers in the middle of the fairway. I will be playing there again. One more thing, the staff was very nice and very helpful.

Played 08/11/08 with Kviser, Moneysworth and my friend Lisa. Had a great time and I have to say it is now one of my favorite courses. The weather was a little warm but it was not windy. It is a difficult course if you don't hit the ball straight. The tee boxes and fairways were green and lush. The greens were fast with a few divot marks, but the putts rolled true. The staff was wonderful. They were friendly and willing to help. Has the feeling of a country club.

Played 8/7 for a free birthday round. The staff was friendly and very helpfull. The course is in great shape. The course is tough, you have to be pretty straight. The greens are pretty fast and not many are straight putts. If the pin is in the front, hit your second shot a little short. If you go at the pin and you don't spin the ball it will roll to the back. It is a fun course and it's beautiful. Make sure to bring extra golf balls. Bring plenty of water too, it get's pretty hot.

The course was not in good shape. The fairways were pretty mushy and you couldn't bounce a ball onto the green. The greens were pretty bad too. Some were smooth and had some pace and others looked like a shag carpet. The #3 green was closed. You had to play to the alternate green. Which you had no idea about until you reached the hole. I would rather play Encino than Balboa after this.

Played 7/20/08 and the course is in great shape. The greens are pretty fast and roll true. They have really kept it in shape even after the Women's LA City tournament I played in the week before. We had a 9:30 tee time but still managed to play in about 5 hours. Which is not bad on a Sunday and at Rancho Park. I always enjoy this course and I think it's one of the best if not the best municipal course in LA.

Played today and didn't tee off on time which is typical on that course. Usually it's 15 to 20 min after your tee time. Started out a little slow and then it started to pick up after the 3rd hole. The fairways were in good shape. You had some roll after the ball hit the fairways. The greens were also in good shape and had some pace to them.

Played today and was able to tee off a little earlier than the time I had. Which worked out great. There was no one in front of us the entire time. The group behind us were 2 holes down. We didn't have to wait on the tee box or the fairway. The course was in okay shape. The fairways weren't too wet like it has been in the past. The greens were a little slow which is what I expect when I play Harding. There were a lot of old divots which made the greens bumpy. PEOPLE FIX YOUR DIVOTS. Had a great time and I always enjoy playing this course.

The course is in great shape from tee to green. The only thing is that fairways were a little damp so the ball didn't roll too much. That was really no big deal. The greens were pretty fast and the ball rolled true. You can tell they have been taking care of the courses.

Played today and the course was in good shape. You need to be straight and know where you want to be off the tee box on some holes to have a second shot. The greens were a little fast due to the championship they had over the weekend. Some of the tee boxes are not flat, but they might fix that sometime this year.

Played Sunday, April 13. It was my first time playing there and it was great. The course was in great shape. The greens looked fast, but were a little slower than I expected. The view on some of the holes were amazing. My only problem is that we were attacked by bees on the 17th hole and I hate bees. The bees were so aggressive they were flying in the cup. You almost wanted to miss your putt so you wouldn't have to stick your hand in the hole to get your ball. Other than that, it was a great course.
