Where were all the golfers??? Played nov 12 @ 7:30 and finished in under 3 1/2 hours as a 3some. Typical conditions course over watered and no one fixes their divots.

See roarksown1 review for details, agree with all he said. However, today Tues 10/29 tee time 7:48 got out at 8:05, they were punching the teeboxes as we played, and some of the dry thin areas. Tee markers were 15-20 yds forward of normal positions. Greens were fast and got faster after the front 9 and the sun worked its magic.

Started out slow, but we finished in just over 4 hrs. We were a 3some behind a 4some. Will come back after the tees have a chance to grow in.

Booked a 10:36 tee time for Harding this past Saturday and got there around 10:00. The starter was kind enough to bump me up to a 10:12 start and let me know with Wilson having just aerated, Harding would be busy. Appreciate the honesty and expected no less than a five hour round. Paired with some very nice guys and away we went. Honestly, the course is in really fine condition right now. The greens are speedy and in really nice condition - but I couldn't putt for a d%mn on the day. Fairways are in good shape as well - some dry areas but mostly in less significant parts. Tee boxes had no issues, and the sand was well stocked. Rough a mixed bag - easy to lose your ball in some of it, but mostly just about right. Having been prepared for delays, it only really became glaring on the par 3s, and even then just on the first one. For the most part, there was waiting, but nothing too awful. We finished in exactly 5 hours so all went according to plan. Harding itself is pretty wide open on most holes so it's a good spot for the up-and-coming golfer I feel - good mix of reachable par 4s and 5s that add that extra confidence. Not a lot of water comes into play but there are some holes where being strategic is very important. Would say right now for an LA Muni, Harding is about as good as it gets.

We played this morning in 3.5 hours after teeing off at 7 AM. Very quite on both courses? Maybe because the city courses charge more on Fridays? The course is in very good shape, with clean tee boxes, wide mowed fairways that provided good lies, though a couple of the fairways could use some help. Bunkers in good shape and the rough is about 1/2 inch high. The greens were terrific in condition, holding shots, putting and chipping. A very nice aeration process indeed. Customer service was very good. We had lunch in the restaurant and the food and service (Thanks Tina) was excellent. Highly recommend this course at this time.

Tee off at 6:45am finished in 3hrs 55mins. The course is in overall good condition. The greens rolled good (pitch marks aside) with medium/fast speed and held shots. The fairways are good with some thin/chewed spots. The rough was good. The two bunkers I was in were good. The tee boxes are fair to good with some minor unlevelness. The course is walkable but has some up and down. Only complaint was one lawn mower guy chopped three balls from my group. Two balls on the front nine and one on the back nine. All three ball were in the rough but two of the balls were very visible. He didn't look or didn't care. To be balanced a second mover guy on 18 went around the ball and stopped mowing when two of my playing partners hit their approach shots. The starters and cart attendant were all pleasant and courteous.

Played Friday of Labor Day. Arrived at 1:55 and teed off at 2:15. Played in about 4:20. The course was in good shape. Lush rough, so had to look hard a couple of times for the ball. The fairways ... Continue »

Played Friday of Labor Day. Arrived at 1:55 and teed off at 2:15. Played in about 4:20. The course was in good shape. Lush rough, so had to look hard a couple of times for the ball. The fairways were generally good with some burned spots. The sand was good in the one bunker I negotiated. The greens were excellent. Good speed with some unrepaired divots and some late afternoon Poa bumps. Second time I played here this Summer and I appreciate the service and conditioning. Not to mention the $35 to walk.

Was going to hit Wilson today, Thursday 8/14, but with a line up of foursomes waiting to tee off and Harding wide open, I took the opening. Started as a single but ended up as a foursome of accumulated singles by the 7th hole or so. I haven't been on the course in years and the short story is that, as a muni, it is in really nice shape. The tee boxes were all pretty level and green. Fairways were in good shape, and while there were some blond patches of drier grass, the lies were good. I saw no bare areas and had one lie in the fairway all day that I would classify as thin, but not hard pan—wasn't a problem. I was in only one bunker and it was good. Greens were in very nice shape—receptive, true, and running something quicker than medium. The rough was pretty consistently grown in and could be challenging. For example, I took extra strokes getting out of a slight hollow in the green-side kikuyu. I would describe it as sticky—in that instance, very sticky. Started off a bit before noon and finished in a little over 3.5 hours. Good weather, good company, good course, good times.

Sat June21 - haven't played here since Jan 14. First off so pace of play not a problem as you can walk this course in 2:45. Marco in pro shop excellent letting me off 1st as single.

Course is pristine- that's it. Can never be in better shape ( s/b after city tourney).

Fairways lush. Greens true, not that fast.

Did notice groups behind were mostly 3 somes- price knocking out some early morning'ers? Nice to be pulling out of lot @ 8am.
