Ridiculous POP. 6+ hours. Terribly customer service...the way this place is ran reminds me of a front for organized crime lol. Unorganized, unprofessional. It's a shame because the course layout is pretty fun...but not when every hole takes 20-30 minutes. Stay far away from this place.

Played Tues 6/11 8AM tee time. Don't know what was going on but there were very few people on the course when we arrived to check in. The front desk was experiencing computer troubles, for some reason their checkin and payment system was not running correctly. After a few minutes they went ahead and checked us in.

The Women's club was going out while we were waiting, but they got us out on time. Customer Service was good they apologized several times for the delay and computer problem.

The course was in very nice shape, green and lush all around. Tee boxes were fairly level with not too many divots. The fairways rolled good, some had a few brownish spots and occasional divots but not many, everything is filling in real well. The greens rolled true and on the fast side, a couple ball marks here and there but I have seen it in worst shape, the bunkers were decent sand. Green fee of $29.50 with coupon from LA Times was great. POP was also great, 4 hrs 15 min following the ladies was unexpected.

Played on last Saturday, teed off around 11am and finished a little after 4. Not too bad considering the crowd. The greens look like they are in decent shape, except few putts in our group were bouncing like crazy. That could just be the divots and footprints being a slightly later tee time. The fairways and the rough were generally in good shape and cut pretty short. Was in two bunkers, both had good amount of sand and nicely raked. Tee boxes were okay, some uneven parts, but not too dug up.

Took a chance walking on out here today. Needless to say on a beautiful day like today, it was packed wall to wall with fivesomes and slow play. I waited about 45 minutes to get called from the wait list as a single and teed off a little after 12:30. We waited on every shot and it was just backed up every hole. Brutal. Our group was the last to finish in the dark at 6:15. At least we finished.

The course is OK shape. I thought the greens were nice for the most part. Pretty firm and fast and naturally got bumpier later in the evening, but not bad for the traffic this place gets. Plenty of unrepaired marks, but not the worst I've seen. Fairways very firm, thin and patchy, typical muni conditions this time of year, but again not the worst I've seen this season. Rough was generally better to hit from than thin fairways lies. I wasn't in a bunker, but the sand actually looked decent from the few I checked out. Tee boxes were actually pretty nice. Pretty level despite the hilly terrain here and some of the nicer green grass growth on the course. They were very firm, though, and you had to work to get the tee in the ground sometimes, but overall one of the pleasant surprises here.

This is a fun layout. Very few flat lies on the course and though it tops out at just over 6000 yards from the blues, it plays longer than the total yardage would suggest because of 6 par-3s and a couple of short par-5s. With all the extra roll-out we were getting on the thin fairways, though, it played a little shorter with today's conditions. Small greens that are hard to hold. Some holes have slopes that funnel to the middle of fairways. Others have sideslopes that will easily send your ball off in an undesirable direction, even on good center-cut shots in a few awkward places. A number of somewhat blind shots and a mix of uphill, downhill and flat approach views. A few really funky holes like 16 and definitely not a course everyone would enjoy, but I liked the layout enough overall and the LA County price ($40 with cart) is reasonable. Unfortunately the slow play is such a deterrent, but it is what you'd generally expect on a Friday afternoon around these parts.

Had an early morning tee time on Sunday 11/18. POP was four and a half hours with play moving at a steady pace. Course was very wet due to some rain over night. Fairways were muddy and ball had no travel when it landed. Greens were very soft and are still healing. The greens are lush but still bumpy and slow, greens should be ready in about 7-10 days. Do not understand why people do not fix divots in the fairway.

Does not Am Golf realize that early morning groups fly around course at full rate?

finished front in 1.5hrs- they were STILL sending groups off the BACK 9!!

we had to force our way in between back 9er's teeing off instead of waiting for sheet to " clear itself". Of course wound up waiting on every shot. Done in a little over 4, which should have been 3:20 tops as reward for gettin there @ 5am.

WHAT A LOUSY WAY TO RUN A GOLF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like lakers & TV Contract- they will still get play no matter how much they shaft the golfers. And AGC wants to run city of LA courses?

Am heading outbound more for Sat/Sun am, avoiding AGC courses like Jack Benny avoids a dinner check.

Have always loved the varied layout of the course...however today was one of my worst experiences.....6 hour round ...followed a Match Play tournament and the greens were
HORRIBLE....slow, diseased and many unrepaired ball marks. I have never seen the greens in this shape of the many times I played here. I do not think I will play here for awhile. I do not think even aerating the greens will help the greens at this point and I will definitely never follow a tournament group. I wish I was notified of this when I made my tee time.
