Out here for a friend's Bday. We utilized the under-par 2 for 400 deal as they were asking between 450-750 for their "dynamic" times. For $200 each its worth a play just for the scenery alone. The pro shop staff was nice however I did not talk to anyone else on property as the bags were loaded and there was no starter by the putting green so we didn't know if we should head to the tee or not. We had the 11AM tee time which is the first available for the under-par deal. There was nobody in front of us but a packed sheet behind us. After we tee'd off I never saw the group behind.

Course Conditions were as expected for a "Premium Course" Lush from tee to green. I did notice a couple areas in the fairways that had a small verti-cut patch but that makes sense as they are prepping for overseeding. These patches were still lush but could leave you with a weird lie. Speaking of lies dont expect a flat lie anywhere on the course. Its a tough one. Sand traps were the only thing on the course that could use a little TLC as they were on the firm side. Greens were firm and medium/fast depending on the grain. All putts break to the ocean but when you have a putt towards the ocean good luck.

Carts are nice with GPC and speakers, There was no cart lady but you can order food through the GPS for the turn, $10 hot dogs w/ chips. The layout here is very fun but also very tight. We played the tips as my buddy (2.3hdc) wanted to experience all 7100 yards and the 74.6 Rating with 144 slope. Yesterday they had every black tee box pushed as far back as possible which made it fun. I am not a short hitter but there are forced carries from the back tees up to 230 yards. Add in wind and its crazy. There were 3 holes where my ball barely made it to the fairway. It was a great test of my abilities but this course is too tight for me to score well given the added length.

If you can find a deal then its worth a play. Not worth paying more than $250 in my opinion. Its not pebble beach.

Played here on Thanksgiving day. First time ever playing here, and I will definitely be back for another round. The staff here was very friendly.After I dropped my bag off, it was waiting for me at my cart and I made my way to the range. The range was on matts, but you were able to hit driver off the grass. The course was in great shape, having just been overseeded and aerated a month prior. The course was cart path only, which can make for a difficult round due to the topography opf the course (typical Pete Dye, no flat ground except the tee boxes) The greens were very receptive and also fast. Pace of play was not the greatest. I was able to play 17 holes, but it was too dark to play 18 since it was 5pm. All in all, it was a great day and I enjoyed the course and ammenitites.

Played here on Tuesday after my buddy had found a voucher for us for about $180 per player. This is a phenomenal property in general, let alone to spend 18 holes on. Decided to play from the Black tees to challenge my game and it was certainly one of the tougher layouts I’ve played recently. In terms of design, the holes are tight and have a lot of areas to miss with chaparral and other thick shrubs. Some fairways aren’t more than 20 yards wide with maybe 5-7 yards of rough on either side (30yd landing area total). With some of the forced carries from the tips being over 220 yards long (and sometimes blind with trees blocking the view of the fairway), it required full focus off the tee. #5 had about a 250 yd forced carry into the wind. There were a couple water hazards as well but luckily never was tested by those. Although I enjoyed the Pete Dye design, it’s not my favorite since sometimes an unlucky bounce could get you in unnecessary trouble where you’d have to drop. It didn’t feel like there were many ‘good’ places to miss other than strategizing on what tier to be on the green. Felt like most of my misses resulted in a dropped shot and I only had a handful of poor shots all round. Conditions were very good but definitely what I would at least expect for a course of that price. We were stoked on our deal but rates being $350-$500 is hefty. That’s heftier than Spanish Bay for example which is an ocean course that far surpasses this. Greens were surprisingly soft and receptive, not rolling faster than a 10. We expected them to be very fast. However, they did roll well other than the many pitch marks on some holes that gave way to some wiggle and bounce on our lines. There was consistent 1/1.5 in rough around the fairway. Slight bare spots here and there but nothing to criticize. Fairways and bunkers were excellent. Overall experience was great. Carts were very nice and provided GPS/ yardage/water bottles. Pace of play was perfect (Tue afternoon). Weather was 75 degrees with a 5-10mph breeze all day after the morning marine layer burned off. Def would play here again (for under $250).

Played at Trump National yesterday to escape the heat. Unfortunately, at 87 degrees and humid, we were still melting. Played here before, so knew what to expect. Views were tremendous. Customer Service was good. Restaurant/19th hole is closed Monday/Tuesday. Also, no valet services. Course is in great shape. Greens were smooth and fast at 11. Fairways had plenty of coverage. Tee boxes in good shape. Sand traps were the weak spot of the round. This course is target golf and none of the holes are easy as there is lots of hazards everywhere. Most tee shots required 100% focus. The greens have crazy undulations. Watch them downhillers towards to the ocean. Beverage cart made their rounds and the grill was open. Lots of goodies in the well stock pro shop. However, if you get politically bent out of shape by Trump, I would avoid pro shop because there was MAGA hats on full display.

Slightly pricey!!! For $170/ there are other courses to play that are better than here.

8:00 tee time on the 19th for my buddies birthday. Our 1st time to play here and what a treat. The whole experience from bag drop to cart drop off was top notch and a welcoming staff through out. great conditions on every hole from tee to green.Greens ran true but really fooled our group on many occasions. Times when putts should break to the ocean did not, Huh? One soar note were the traps, they looked well groomed and raked but being in both fairway and green side, it was maybe 3/4 of an inch of nice sand than really hard pan. overall a really great time.
One more thing, I believe on every teebox , you can see the huge American Flag waving in the breeze , A pretty cool touch Mr. trump!!

Looking forward to playing again once course has recovered from maintenance.

First time playing here, thanks to a friend getting me out to play here. Course is MINT. Very Memorable.

Again, this course is MINT conditions. Worth the splurge. Very challenging, very tight course especially with the windy conditions we had. Didn't score what I was hoping but didn't matter, still had an awesome experience. Every hole has ocean views and it was great to take it all in.

We were greeted at the bag drop circle where they verified out tee time and took our bags for us while we checked-in at the clubhouse. Once paid, we met the starter, Manny, and he showed us to our cart with our bags on them. He informed us of the particulars about the property and the course, to include the access to the locker room (very cool to see/use).

The driving range is undergoing a slight renovation/adjustment due to some property construction nearby, but should be done within a week or so. So we only utilized the putting green to warm up.

Now for the course..

Greens: The greens were AWESOME. Could be tough to read a light break, so made it a fun challenge. Only negative was there was a good amount of ball marks mainly on score-able holes. Most were clearly fresh and given it was a super busy day, I don't blame the course for it.

Fairways/rough: Tight, sloping fairways/rough, but LUSH. Never had a bad lie. Awesome.

Bunkers: The bunkers were maybe the slight low spot, just for consistency. All were in great shape (and there's plenty to land in), but there were a few I went in that were more wet and played a little different than the others. But still were all in great shape.

Tee boxes: LUSH, few divots here n there from the day but never had a problem looking for a spot.

Overall: This course is top-tier, splurge worthy. Bring extra golfballs because it is tight!! The wind was played sometimes a 2 club wind and could take that fade or draw into trouble. I will definitely be back at some point. The POP was a little slow, but according to the golf shop, they were just extra busy that day, probably due to the summer solstice.

Played again Tuesday, Jan. 12, 10am great weather and course conditions. Busy day but pop still about 4.15, so it was manageable considering a full parking lot. The greens were lightning-fast, fairways perfect, good sand in bunkers. Very challenging course, especially when the greens are like glass. The back nine holes are more challenging than the front, with more bunker protection, thinner fairway landing areas. Very little rough on this course. If you don't hit straight, bring a box of golf balls. Good beverage cart service. The outdoor grill tables/seats were removed, but beverages available, domestic beer, $7. The SCGA has a great drone 'fly-over' of this course, highly recommend watching. Driving range is huge, and a 2-3 min. drive from the pro-shop. But stay on the sidewalk, if you go into the parking lot, the cart will slow.
