Played 2/7 with a 7:20 tee time I was lucky to find on Sat after I found out I didn't have to report for jury duty. We played as a foursome and finished in 3:45 waiting on some holes. Checkin was quick and easy and the starter is a friendly guy.
Tee boxes are excellent with no problem finding a good spot to tee it up.
The fairways are like carpet right now. Perfect coverage with good rollout and no bare spots.
The rough is cut fairly low but still made you work to get out.
The bunkers with the new white sand look amazing and have settled in to make them very nice to hit from. Last time I was there they were still soft and you really sank into them.
I love the greens here and today they played very nice. Consistent speed and hardly and ball marks.
We had the wind come up a bit on the back nine but not too bad.
We saw a marshal and the cart several times on both sides.
My only gripe is that you can't book on the phone as a single so you can't get the senior rate. I paid $62 which is still a great rate for such an outstanding track.

Played Goose Creek Weds. Jan 26th. Conditions are very good all around. The fairways are lush and there are NO bad lies. The bunker sand is the nicest Iv'e seen anywhere in years. All tee boxes were level with only minimal divots. Greens were just soft enough to accept shots and were medium fast to pretty darn quick, but that might have been from the wind drying them out. pace of play was right at 4 hours and ten minutes.

Played a round with 3 of my close buddies over the weekend on 12/11. The golf course was in great shape with some of the prettiest bunker sand I've seen in awhile. Greens had recovered nicely since they had to close down for some maintenance, however there was some seeding/fertilizer on the surface which created some bumpy putts and caused some deflections. A little disappointed to say the least.

Got barked at by the Marshall while on hole 8 and then again by the starter at the turn for our "pace of play". I know they pride themselves on a 4 hour round over there, which is great, but we finished the front 9 in 2:10 and overall 4:15. For a packed tee sheet on a weekend, I'd say that is great time. We were never more than half a hole behind the group in front of us, and as soon as we got to hole 4, we never saw the group behind us. If anything I'd tell the group behind us, which was 2 holes behind at times, to pick up the slack. It made for a uncomfortable/rushed feeling on the back 9.

Overall a wonderful day, but I'd like to play a couple new courses out in the IE area before I come back to the Goose. I want to make sure the greens are fully recovered, because it's a course thats very scoreable if you're hitting greens.

Played this morning with very cool conditions to start but it warmed up nicely. The course is in very good condition, fairways, rough and greens are all very nice. The greens have dried out and although they will hold shots they are putting pretty quickly. The white sand traps are much better than previous traps however the sand is a bit heavy when wet in the morning. Overall another great time playing here.

Played a GK Cup match against PokerGuy0826 at 1140 on Friday, 12/3/21. Found a killer deal on the GCGC website for $55 each, about half-price for their morning weekday fee! We had a hazy, cool day with bursts of sunshine and very little wind. The GK Guru outing a couple weeks ago reported good conditions, and we also found the Goose in very good shape after having a few more days to dry out after their maintenance. After some initial soft conditions, the course quickly dried somewhat and provided good runouts and firm but receptive greens. The new bunker sand really pops when you see it against the course. Rakes are out but not the water jugs – we saw the cart girl several times. All aspects of the course were in great shape.

We were paired with a scatterbrained pair of friends who were late to the tee, not prepared to play golf, and wild to the point of distraction. They started off playing Blue but moved up to White on #6. The marshal came by on #6 and asked us to try to catch up, as we were 1+ hole behind. Bizarrely, the pair got to the green on #7 while John was taking a drop from the penalty area, finished their putting, and bolted to the 8th tee and played ahead of us the rest of the round. TG for fewer distractions! Not a word or a wave from them, though. Adios! We started on time and finished in 4:10.

Definitely recommended.

Also played in the Guru outing on Thursday afternoon but held off on my review because I also played this morning and wanted to compare the difference between and afternoon and morning round. I agree with all the other Gurus. Overall the conditions have come back very nicely. Greens are still pretty soft. I think you can be aggressive with shots because balls just hit and stop right where they land. Even chips would tend to check pretty quickly.

Fairways were great. A little divot damage but nothing outrageous or unusual. Most were filled in. Rough while not over penalizing could get your attention. Others have alluded to the fact there is a bunch of new white sand in most bunkers. I actually had to put my sunglasses on one time because it was blinding and another time my ball was camouflaged. Tee boxes were great as well.

I will admit today was a rather brutal day with the wind. How bad was the wind well I hit driver to pin high on 16. Yeah it was blowing quite a bit.

Customer service was top notch as always and probably one of the best practice facilities in SoCal. Now is a great time to visit the Goose and look forward to getting back out here.

Played Thursday Nov 18h at 12:20 in the 2nd group of GK guru's. First time I played here in 20 months even though I live 2 miles away. Played with Gary, Marv, and Vince and had a great time, very fun group. POP was good at 4:07. The course is in great shape, they had just rolled the greens that day and were on the fast side and very smooth. Played the whites which is now the #3 tee boxes and they were in good shape all level and mowed, fairways looked real green and are nice to hit from, I was in 1 fairway bunker and the white fluffy sand was beautiful but since we have had hard sand or mud at all the rest of the courses we played it takes practice to play in soft sand. Alot of the course was soft, especially around the greens where I had 2 balls plug and got no roll out onto the greens. Greens rolled very well. The visual of the white bunkers from the tee boxes was quite a sight. I agree Goose should upgrade their carts to have gps. I want to thank Gary, Marv, and Vince for a really relaxed and fun round. Also want to thank Johnny for setting this up.

Played the GK Gurus outing at Goose Creek on nice Thursday afternoon and was paired with Keith, Vince and Gary. Course had just came out of re seeding and the course looked fantastic. Bunkers looked like you were at Augusta very white and bright beautiful sand and very easy to play from. Tee boxes and fairways were like carpet, very smooth and almost perfect lies. Greens rolled very true and there was nothing about the course I didn’t like. If there was one thing I would ask the course for is to have GPS on the carts or phone chargers so that people who use there phone for yardage information could charge them. Thanks to Johnny for setting things and for everything you do for all of us. Thanks to my playing partners who I had a great day with and to Goose Creek, the course is in excellent condition and if you’re in the area it’s definitely recommended.

If you get the chance to play you will not be disappointed. One thing i noticed when we finished was all of the kids spread out in the practice areas. Great job to Goose in bring the game to the youth.
