Played here Monday 7/12 with a 7 am tee time.We played the white tees. Was able to book as a single only online so you can't get the senior rate. They will not take a tee time for a single over the phone.
Check in is quick and the shop looks to be well stocked. I didn't use the range but the main putting green is in bad shape with what looks to be some kind of virus so it was bumpy and much slower than in the past. Unfortunately the all of the greens on the course are infected the same way
Tee boxes are in good shape with the exception of #17 which is rock hard and very tough to get you tee into.
Fairways are mostly very good with good coverage and great to hit from. There are a few dry spots but not too many. With the heat I was not surprise.
Rough was not a factor and mostly cut low. Bunkers are what i've come to expect here, some fairway bunkers thin and greenside mostly good sand. There are plenty of rakes.
The greens as I mentioned earlier are tough to put on. Very uneven and bumpy. They look to be on the way back and not cut to tight during this heatwave.
We saw the cart on the back nine. Plenty of marshals coming by to keep things moving. We played in 4:15 as a foursome.
Overall an enjoyable round at my favorite course.

Met up with GKer tocho261 to play a GK Cup 17 match of dueling big-metal left knee braces at Goose Creek GC on a warm, cloudy afternoon, 6/29/21. A nice breeze kept things from getting too hot. Teed off on time around 2pm on time as the course was crowded and played in just over 4 hours, getting behind a group on the back nine playing the tips. I played from the White (III; don’t get me started!) tees (6,150/69.4/122) and Tom played the Blues (IV; 6,560/71.2/126). Course is getting back to normal with no mask requirement, inside check-in, 2 players per cart, sand bottles on carts, rakes in bunkers, and pins can be pulled. No water jugs out yet, though. No drink cart today.

The course is in very good condition everywhere. My biggest concern was the greens. The large putting green in the practice area looked almost burned up showed many areas trending toward almost bare conditions. The front side greens were a lot like that. We discovered while playing that the course has recently verticut and rolled the greens on the back nine. Compared to the front, these greens are softer, slower, and bumpier. All of us had challenges adjusting to the new conditions; everyone generally left putts short on the back side, and putts tended to wiggle all over the place. The back nine really showed up the unrepaired ballmarks, although we saw many on the front nine as well. Fairway lies were good. Rough was generally short, dry, and easy to play from. Tees were flat and bunker sand was good.

Goose is always recommended.

Played here on Sunday 6/6 with my regular group. Teed right on time at 820am. Considering I paid $99 a month ago to play Eagle Glen this course was a steal $95! Grass driving range, chipping area, multiple putting greens to warm up on and all in excellent condition. The course is fully operational in that flag pulling, rakes and sand bottles are being used. Bye Covid! Fairways lacked color but the conditions were pristine. Greens were in great condition too with all undulations rolling smooth and at a quick pace. Marshals do a great job of keeping the POP near 4 hours. We got the whip cracked on us at one point (rightfully so, my partner just took a 11 on a par 5 ??). Don't be fooled by appearances, this course is well worth the money and it is no wonder I had to book my tee time 3 weeks in advance. Goose Creek is easily the best public course in the area! From the friendly service to the professional attitudes of the marshals thanks for a great experience.

Played in a tournament today so the pace was a little slow but I didn't see any gaps anywhere so I think it was just a combination of tournament play and tough conditions. Day started pretty mild but that wind definitely picked up as the round went on.

Greens to me are still a weak point here. I thought they were a little too bumpy and wobbly for my liking. I do think the speed is good. Certainly not the fastest I've seen here but still good roll out.

Fairways were great. Cut nicely and some good roll on well struck drives. Maybe a few bare spots but nothing to be concerned about. Some unrepaired divot damage out there. I did see the sprinklers on as the tournament was winding down so they should get better.

Rough did have some juice to it but it wasn't enough to change my decision on any shots. Maybe I got lucky.

Sand was fine. The one bunker I was in did have wet sand which I assume was from the watering overnight.

Tees were very good, nice and level and cut to a nice height.

Staff is outstanding as always. Course is certainly worth a look right now before the summer heat hits.

Practice area is impressive. Chipping area is one of nicest. Large putting green with undulations.

Teed off on time. Starter gave us a brief intro about the holes and off we went.

Good mix of holes.
Conditions were good. Greens were medium speed and rolled true.

Carts have no GPS and they don't allow to single rider for carts even if you are willing to pay extra. One of our group wanted to ride by himself and he did not get an option to do so.

Definitely worth going back.

Played here on Cinco De Mayo, at 11:20. Got there about an hour early, just to utilize the great practice facility. Great putting and chipping area. Bunkers to work on sand game, and grass hitting range. The course is always in top notch quality. The tee boxes are firm and flat. Footing is secure for all those power hitters from the tee box. The fairway are well manicured. There aren't any worn out or dry areas. The rough is great to hit out of, you can find and advance your ball strikes, even though the rough is a bit long, about 2". Bunkers have rakes, so we played shots, and the quality is sand was firm but playable. Greens are undulating, and rolling true. Speed seemed med-fast. The have a lot of great challenging holes, which keeps it fun and entertaining. A must play track.

Played 05/04 as a single with a 2some. We all carried a bag and walked, old school. Teed off 10:15 POP 4 hours. Never waited on any holes. Practice facility is top notch, grass range, chipping green, bunker and huge putting green. Now only if the putting green was similar to the greens on the course. Greens much slower and kinda bumpy. I think they still need some time to heal after being punched. Overall condition are really good, no complaints here. Missed greens always lead to some interesting chips, flops and bump and runs. I'll be back out there soon, I love the Goose!

Played Goose today. Started out overcast, but sun came out after noon. They aerated the greens several weeks ago and it is still visible. Greens were bumpy and it appears that they are fighting some kind of disease on the greens. Lots of round splotches on the greens. You are now allowed to pull the flags when putting. Fairways and some tee boxes were in great condition. Sand was also in good condition and now contain rakes. Staff helpful as usual. They are now allowing dining indoors. POP was around 4 hours.
