We played on Friday, 12/7 and got a great deal as a Sr, $26 with range balls! Fairways were in decent condition, not quite a thin as in the past but there are many large areas that are bare and a few too many divots. Greens had a little more body than in the past but STILL WAY TOO MANY BALL MARKS! (Only course that I've ever played that has sooooo many ball marks). Also, green were smooth and firm. Traps OK. We went out as a 2some and pace of play was steady at just under 4hrs. Local knowledge is a MUST and expect some unusual bounces but that's Links golf!

Played yesterday as a single. The course has been on our rotation on and off for a couple years (providing the conditions are decent) It seems to be coming around slowly but some issues in the customer service dept. They will always tell you to come out and they will put you with a group..... like some other courses, they don't. They take your $ and tell you to grab a cart. Maybe in the early morning tee times they do but after 12:00 they don't seem to pair the groups together well enough to keep the pace moving. Unless the foursomes broke apart but seems hard to imagine. Fairwas were really wet so not getting the links roll but at least they have grass to hit from. Greens were good but could be great providing the ball marks get repaired. I will never get this part of just leaving the greent pelted this way. When you don't have ANYONE as a marshall on the course its very difficult to monitor what's going on. Bunkers were so so and most stepped all over. Mens club guys are rude by the way. Be sure to check and see if they have an event ........ then stay away! Nice day though but not much to show except a 5 hour sunburn!

Played this morning and I regret it now. The locals here think this is there own private course and you are not welcome. Glad my brother moved out of this place. Course itself is about a 5 due to the fact the locals do not repair ball marks. They drive their carts on the green even. Saw this twice. Will stay away in the future.

Played here today with GKer TMIKERY. We originally planned to play at Pechanga this morning, but the weather was so ugly we decided on a cheaper option. With my Red Dot book, we were able to get out at Summerly for $36 each. They got us out really quickly, but the course was still quite busy. The round was pretty slow--a little under 5 hours.

The course was just in OK shape. The fairways had a lot of chewed up areas that were marked off as GUR. The good areas were nice to hit from, though. The greens were pretty pock-marked and there were some bumpy putts in our group. Medium speeds. Soft and receptive on approaches. I wasn't in any greenside bunkers, but was in one fairway bunker and it was pretty firm. Condition-wise, it was plenty playable and still well worth the price we paid, but it's pretty rough around the edges right now.

It was my second time playing this course. I played it once many years ago after it first opened, so the course has definitely "matured" since then and the old school links layout is very fun, unique and challenging. Nothing else quite like it in SoCal, so it's a great change of pace. Local knowledge goes a long way here because there are all sorts of hidden troubles (especially those evil burns), semi-blind shots and deceptive angles. Nothing is quite what it seems. They do have GPS, but it's a very basic version so it doesn't give you a visual overview of each hole. One guy in our group had a yardage book, but it was still pretty basic. I look forward to playing here again without quite as much time in between rounds, so I can play some smarter shots and strategies on some of the trickier holes.

This has got to be my favorite course outside of Palm Springs and further. A true challenge but also fair. Rewards you for good shots and severely punishes you for poor or dumb shots. If you haven't played here before, buy the book they sell and utilize the digital gps to help gauge where you are on some holes. The true enjoyment here is the fact that you have to actually think about what you're doing, not just hit it far as you can and chase it down. There are some areas under minor repair, divots on greens (people... Fix your divots!), and some wet low areas but overall great condition on a constant basis. Shot my worst round ever when I first played two years ago and now consistently tie my best score when I'm here, which means course knowledge is a definite plus. Always a well playable course and rarely slow. Keep up the great job Summerly!

Played today 9/29 a late morning round. The front 9 was awesome. Pace of play was very good. Things got ugly on the back 9. Back 9 took twice as long as the front 9. The course is in decent shape, greens aren't too bumpy, and the tee boxes are decent. A few of the fairways were muddy. On several holes I was dead in the center of the fairway, and my ball was literally covered in mud.

There were quite a few roped off sections on the fairways as well. Greens were decent, lots of weird black spots on them (not sure what it was). Tee boxes were flat, but very hairy.
