Played LS South on 9/30. Pretty much standard LS conditions - good greens, good FWs, rough is sometimes fine, sometimes barren. Played early, and the greens were bumpy due to the soft damp conditions and a couple of players in front of us that left deep footprints on the green and liked to drive their cart to the edge of every green. Perhaps they had a physical limitation, although it sure didn't look like it to us. Regardless, LS remains one of my favorite go to locations when I want affordable golf.

Really at the top of the class for affordable public courses in the LA area.

Played Tues Sept 17, we play here allot, even bought the weekday card, good value as you get 5 free rounds plus a free birthday round and for seniors golf is $35 per round instead of $55. You also get 5 guests rounds at $35, plus percent of in shop. Course is in good shape, bunkers are a mixed bag, #9 tee box on the whites needs to be leveled, greens rolled nice. Cart GPS is now free, good thing because sometimes freezes and you have to hit the switch to restart it. I heard they got new management awhile back. They obviously are trying to cut costs especially in the restaurant, they have a new menu and took allot of things off, they also discontinued the specials, very disappointing. The food used to be top notch but is now very average. The waitresses are still very nice.

played this Saturday morning at 6:32 am. Pace of play ? What pace of play. We were the 2nd group out and the 1st group was a 2some and they played fast. We finished in 3 hours and 20 minutes. Course in great condition, greens are in the best shape I have seen. Fairways and bunkers in great shape too. Really enjoyed my round today. Check in was quick and professional.

It's been awhile since we played Los Serranos. Glad to see that they reinstated senior rates without having to buy the Players Card. The course is in the best condition I have seen it in awhile. The fairways were nice and lush but moist. The greens appeared to have been mini aerated but it did nit affect the roll. Greens were also soft and held your shots. Only complaint was the sand traps as they consisted of compacted hard sand. POP was a little over 4.5 hours and we had to wait on 1st tee. Teed off 10 minutes behind schedule.

played today with new member "Turbo4gio" and I must continue to say that the South Side is looking very good. Plenty of sand in the bunkers fairways nicely cut as well as the greens. Got on the 1st tee box at 6:30 this morning (3rd group out) the pace of play was absolutely great. It took us just under 4 hours to play the South Side. Customer Service was great.

Played again this morning at 6:30am. Nothings really changed. Course is in absolutely great shape as well as the fairways, tee boxes, sand bunkers and greens. Was behind a foursome this Morning who had absolutely NO BUSINESS playing the "Jacks Blacks" at 7600 plus yards. The group in front of us was at least 2 holes behind the group in front of them all morning...Like my old friend Mr. Clint Eastwood use to say " a man has got to know his limitations", obviously these guys didn't know their limitations.

Played today 7/24/19 at 6:40am It was great getting out early. Beating the Heat was something we wanted to do. No one in front of us at all so we actually finished the whole South side in 3 fours. Course is in Great conditions. Greens were also in great condition. Plenty of sand in bunkers and fairways well manicured. Customer Service was outstanding. Except for hitting off Mats to warm up well that's something I never like to do. But it is what it is. Great day to play.

I played here yesterday teeing off at 5:30 am and finished in 3.5 hours walking. It has been many years since I've played here so didn't remember much about it. I must admit, I thought it was a much nicer course then I expected. There are all kinds of different holes and plenty of hills to deal with too. Water comes into play on a few holes which makes it fun and the lies are often not flat. I give the overall course a strong 7 with the only low point being the bunkers. Greens were great with semi fast surfaces and held shots. I will definetly be back to play here again. Side note: choose the tees that fit your game and you are in for an enjoyable round.

Played today and the Southside fairways are in pretty good shape. Greens were inconsistent, some were fast and some slow. Greens are taking a beating I guess because players are not fixing their ball marks. Plenty of sand in bunkers with tee boxes level and fair. Pace of play was good.
