First off this AM and played in 2.5H having the course to ourselves. And we took our time. Course is in very nice shape at the moment. With the cooler temps there is less watering providing dry fairways and good roll. You will find some thin areas on some of the fairways but we had good lies all round. Tee boxes were all good. Some rough outside of fairways that is thick and of course you have some OB rough, water and a few ravines to contend with. Traps were good and very playable. Greens were clean (all mowed as we played) devoid of divots, held shots and chipped/putted very well with good speed. Customer service excellent at all levels. Recommended.

Played Friday 9/20, 7am, 2 some, 4 hr round. Course in decent shape. Greens are in good shape... running about a slow 10 on the stimp. It's a challenging layout which demands accuracy, but if you hit good shots, you can score well. It's a nice daily fee course kept in muni shape... acceptable, and the price is right. Had a good time.

Inspired by Larry's recent review, plus the great senior rate and relative closeness to home, back out to Westridge. I've always enjoyed playing here because there are a nice mix of holes, some real birdie opportunities (Although I made only one) but also some tough holes.
I don't find the holes redundant, a nice variety coupled with the elevation changes

Conditions were pretty much what I expected after reading Larry's recent review. Greens rolled quicker than they looked, which is my preference. Fairways generally good, with a few issues, bunkers were well maintained with nice amount of sand.

Staff here is always friendly and accommodating. $40 w/cart to play anywhere in Orange County is a good deal. There frequently seems to be mixed reviews about this course, but I find it a fun, interesting course to play, which if you can keep your ball in play, does not beat you up yet provides enough of a a challenge to keep your interest.

Played today in a nice POP of 3 H. We found the course to be in very nice shape. Tee boxes were all playable and some could use more coverage, but no issues. Fairways were all playable and the back nine were the best. All of them had good coverage and decent roll out (again back 9 better). I never seem to encounter much rough here, as there is more than enough OB, water and forced carries to deal with vs rough. Traps were playable and heard no complaints. Greens (wet to start) were all clean, void of divots, mowed and in great shape. They held shots very nicely vs being to hard to hold shots. Chipped/putted well with good speed. Customer service was very good at all levels. One of the things I really like about this course is their Par 3's because each one (IMO) have their own identity and challenge. Only issue I have, is that on Friday they charge seniors $45 vs $40 M-Th.

Out at 6:30 this morning started overcast cleared to warming when finishing 9:50. Off as a single behind member twos and threes with minimal waiting and no push from following twosome. Watering at night made sprinkler areas wet, white tee boxes had divots but easily found good stance, sparse mixed grasses along fairway edges, not much rough just thick brush and ice plant, heavy sand in three greenside bunkers were easy out with medium speed smooth greens. Large greens fixed 3-5 marks each held shots and sure putted nice for early morning. Looked narrow but more room than appeared also used side slopes to advantage keeping drives in center of fairway. Used a 32 email discount but thought the normal 40 would still be a worthy fee. Will try another visit in the near future.

okay, i have to admit, i gave Westridge a bad review a few months ago. I thought i may never play there again but i saw on GK that things were looking up conditions wise so decided to give it another try. We teed up at 7:30(our time was 7:22) yesterday behind a fivesome that arrived late. Not sure if they even allow fives but i think the group had two times and had a couple no shows. Anyway, they were real nice guys and kept a good pace so we finished in 4.5 hours.
CONDITIONS: a big improvement from my last visit. The greens were real nice with hardly a ball mark on them. They rolled smooth, true and held shots but were a little slow. The bunkers were very nice, the rough was ROUGH or should i say scruff. Tee boxes were fine but could be leveler and the fairways were pretty good but still need some attention in areas. All in all Westridge is doing a better job presenting there golf course and have won me back especially if they keep going in this direction. Cost was $40 with a cart so very worth the green fee. Have fun out there

So I got it and played my home course for the first time in over a year. I really love this place but due to the rumor or not a rumor of it being up for sale they let the conditions get pretty bad. So after hearing good things from others and seeing the last couple reviews I gave it a whirl. I was pleasantly surprised, the course was in good shape. A little more tlc and it would be back to his I remember it.
So a few dry spots here and there but overall good fairways. Bunkers were plentiful with fluffy sand, some of the best bunkers I've played out of in a while. Greens were rolling true and we're really nice. Some uneven tee boxes but nothing too bad. Pace of play was awesome. We finished in 4 hrs. Mind you, they switched around starting front 9 back to the original settings when it first opened. I really like this set up as you get to finish on that great downhill par 5...
If you've written off Westridge go back and give it a chance. It's doing pretty well right now. Green fees are pretty reasonable IMO

Tee boxes fairly level except on the par 3s (hole 7 is really bad- it's like a pitcher's mound), fairways have several different types of grass growing with occasional bare spots, sand traps were ok but have a lot of rocks in them. The greens were rolling nice though, they looked really fast but weren't. All in all it was a nice round...

Tees: Average, many divots. Level however. 5/10
Fairways: Some of the worst I have seen this year. Brown, divot filled, multiple types of grass growing. 3/10
Rough: Basically just slightly longer fairway. Again, several types of grass growing. 4/10
Bunkers: Thin and compacted. Fairway bunkers much better than greenside. 4/10
Greens: Really bumpy and slow, especially the front. Got better on the back. 4/10.

Again this course is just not for me. I only played because of the group decision. The conditions are just unacceptable given the amount of rain this year. Will not return and cannot recommend.
