Played on Saturday and man was the wind howling out there. I ended up hitting a 9 iron 90 yds and an 8 iron 220 yds. It was more of a mental grind.

Greens were very good. They certainly seemed faster than they looked because balls seemed to roll out a bit more than I expected. I think there were one or 2 greens that had some issue on them but I can't remember which hole it was (#11 I think was one).

Fairways were in great shape. A few divots out there but nothing bad. I don't think there were many bare spots or bad areas. Pretty good coverage and a nice roll on well hit shots.

Rough was juicy but I don't think it was too penal. Some areas definitely had more than others and some spots by the greens were pretty thick.

Tees were great no issue with them. All had good coverage and even the par 3s didn't have too much divot damage.

Sand was good. Really white and almost blinding to a point. Consistent throughout the course from fairways to greenside.

Course is in really nice shape and should be on your list to play. Always a pleasure playing the goose.

Just played on Monday 11-14 and all I have to say about the course right now is WOW! The course was in perfect condition right now. The tee boxes were solid, the fairways were plush with the right amount of firmness, and the greens were rolling so smooth. The sand traps had pure white sand and looked like they belonged at Augusta. My only complaint was that we were playing behind a tournament that had no business playing that course. The round took 4.5hrs, but it could've been much quicker without them playing. Holes 5 had 2 groups waiting to tee off when we pulled up. I can't wait to go back soon.

Played on Monday the 31st with fellow GK'r SR129. It was a fantastic day for golf. The course had just came out of maintenance and had reopened on the Friday before and the course was is great shape. We had a PoP of 4:15 and the new carts are very comfortable with a nice GPS. Staff was great as usual. Only hole 6 was cart path only which was a nice surprise coming out of overseeding. Tees: Very nice shape, but I do wish they would do something with the #17 box in the 3rd location as it's like trying to get the tee into concrete. Fairways: The new grass is awesome, but there were a few that were a little long, but they were out mowing so on Tuesday they were probably perfect. Golfers: Please fill your divots. Too many unfilled for being open just a few days. Rough: Nasty long and thick. takes a little more time finding your ball. Hint: Don't hit it there. Bunkers: Wasn't in any, but they looked fluffy with nice white sand. They really pop off the emerald green grass. Greens: Not up to the Goose usual standards. They were dry and haven't come out of being punched. Was a little surprising. Even though they didn't look great, putts rolled nicely with no noticible bouncing. The speed was med fast and held shots nicely. Im a huge fan of the Goose and think it's one of the best courses around.

Played Monday 9/12 at 12:30 with a "daily deal" booked through the Goose Creek site. $52/person is an absolute STEAL for a course of this caliber. POP was approximately 3:35 as I was standing in the parking lot chatting with my playing partners at 4:10; absolutely amazing pace. Conditions are as we have all come to expect here: Lush fairways, lush rough that can be somewhat penal, and flat teeing areas. Greens were a little bit thicker than usual with speeds slowed a little. Believe this to be a combination of the recent heatwave that has hit SoCal as well as the fact that Goose will be closing in the next week for their 5 week aerification (did not get exact dates from the starter unfortunately). However, a HUGE plus that takes this course from great to excellent, is the addition of NEW CARTS! When I rate a course on my personal rankings, I always take into account all aspects of the course, not only just playing conditions but amenities and yes, carts as well. If you have played GC in the past, you can remember the carts were rickety and devoid of any GPS or comforts. The new carts have thick, cushiony seats, two bottles of divot mix per side, a club and ball cleaner, and a Shark Experience GPS/entertainment console. May seem trivial to some, but it adds to the experience for me. Always a fair challenge out here, especially with the wind kicking up and blowing into your face on 17 and 18 coming home. Escaping with a par on 18 is always a high point. If you haven't gotten out here, do so ASAP!

Played Goose this morning with Vince, Lloyd and Dan all great guys and a pleasure to play with. As expected a hot day out in Jurupa Valley but the wind was keeping us cool. We played the III tees and finished in 4 hours 20 minutes. This course is always or usually set up very nice and today was no exception, tee boxes nice green and level fairways were great and bunkers were nice to play from. Greens fooled me today or maybe I was just tired but I had 5 three putts so I had that going for me. I think everyone who plays this course on a regular basis gets it, meaning they fix divots marks sand in divots and generally take care of the course. The course is always in fantastic shape, the staff is always great and it is always great to play with friends. Great day was had by all but I’m glad the day ended I was pooped… Highly Recommended

Played this morning in great course conditions. The fairways were in almost perfect conditions with good roll and great lies for shots. I was not in any bunkers but my playing partners said they were in very good condition to play from. The greens were also very good and were wet enough to hold good shots but ran at medium speed with very few blemishes. It got up to 100 by the time we finished but overall a great day.

Always look forward to playing Goose Creek. Teed off shortly after 8am and finished in 4:15. The greens were in overall good condition. Putts rolled medium/fast, mostly smooth, and held shots. A couple of greens had some patch work but had minimal affect on putting. The fairways had mostly very good coverage and lies but there are some thin/bare areas scattered about. Especially on holes 12 and 13. The rough had mostly good coverage with some thin/bare spots. The rough was long enough to affect shots but not too penal. I was not in any bunkers but they appeared in good condition and playing partners had little trouble getting out. Tee boxes were good with decent coverage and mostly level.
Goose is in mostly very good condition but has some rough edges at the moment. However, the course is still very playable with far more great lies than bad. As always Goose management appears to be diligently working on problem spots. The staff was friendly.

Played yesterday here at the Goose in a qualifier. Got a little toasty towards the end of the round and while the wind was very light to start it picked up quite a bit on my 2nd 9. There was no check in per se but they did have staff at the range handing out buckets and picking them up and they were very friendly as they always are. I thought the set up was pretty good. Interesting was they converted the par 5 12th hole into a par 4 so the course was playing to a par 70. I'd never seen this done for an am event before.

Overall the greens I thought were probably rolling at a medium speed and maybe a little bumpier than I expected. I thought the actual greens were better than the practice green because I thought that one seemed a little shaggier. Greens were a little soft because we made some pretty big ball marks. I can understand the need for it with the excessive heat that we have experienced.

Fairways are in good shape. There are some dead/bare areas which I expected but generally good lies though out the course.

Rough wasn't too bad. I had one lie where it was sitting down but that was on the par 5 7th hole so that actually helped me since it prevented my ego from going for it in 2.

I wasn't in any bunker but they all looked pretty consistent and good quality sand.

Overall enjoyable just a little on the hotter side for me. I'll probably look to come back some time in the fall. Always a good test of golf.

Played on Wednesday, June 29th with Steve (sr129) on a beautiful morning. Teed off at 6:40 and POP was 3:30. The course has work being done in many areas, but does not effect play that much. The collars around the 17th green are GUR as they have been re-sod. 12 of the holes have been punched with small holes and does not effect putts at all. I wish I could blame them for my poor putting, but thats not the case. The 11th green has a large repaired area that does not effect putting to much and it coming along very well. The few fairways are showing a few signs of the heat recently, but they are still great. They were watering in many areas trying to keep the course in top shape. Was not in any sand so I can't comment on those. I am used to playing Goose in immaculate shape and playing it in only great shape was just a little odd. I can't wait to go back
