Played a GK Guru outing today with some wonderful folks. Johnny thanks so much for your efforts.

The course is going through some changes which I believe will only add to the experience. Great round at a good pace, just a hair over 4 hours and the course is in very good condition.

Will play again soon.

6/12 playing with Larry and Lee for a Guru outing trying to keep up the the other 4some who was flying through their round(they were the bomber group--fairways and greens and lots of 1 putts). Fairways have fairly good cover--a little dry and brownish--but good lies overall. Not a lot of rough to contend with mostly short and on the dry side. Tees a little thin but ok.
Found two fairway bunkers which were groomed and had ample sand which was on the firm side-- ideal for fairway play.
Greens are in really good shape rolling smoothly at medium/medium fast speed, quite receptive to approach shots while allowing chips to roll out.
Nice layout made even more enjoyable by the company during the round. Friendly welcoming staff. 3 1/2 POP.

Played 6/1/18. The course was in very good shape. The best I have seen it in awhile. Greens were in nice condition but were fast and hard to read. Teed off before scheduled golf tournament, which slowed down the pace but not that much. The driving range and practice greens were still under construction but per the staff is scheduled to be hopefully completed by mid June.

Joined sr129 to play Glen Ivy on the morning of 5/8 and was stoked as I had never played here before and we got a $42 per golfer on Golf Moose. Drove up and noticed a lot of construction going on there and Steve tells me they are redoing the driving range, practice putting green and other areas. Not very crowded on this morning so check in was simple enough. We waited a bit for a couple of groups ahead of us to go out but off we went around 7:45. As a 2 some, we followed a foursome but never really waited much. Still got around in about 3.5 hours. A thoroughly enjoyable day playing with Steve but equally enjoyable was this course. A fun course with some tight holes but most of the fairways are fairly generous. A good combination with some short and long holes with some doglegs. Back 9 has more elevation changes. Fairways were in really nice condition. Some tight lies out there but overall good coverage. Bunkers were in nice shape also but were damp. No problem getting out of the sand. The greens were the highlight. Really nice! You could see they recently verticut but really had no effect on the roll as they rolled perfectly and still held good shots. Tough to read though as there are some very subtle breaks. Heard there is a new owner here and from the looks of things, it’s on the improvement. Highly recommend and am looking forward to getting out there again sometime soon.

As the previous review noted the range and practice green are closed due to some extensive construction going on at the range.
I have never seen this course in this great of shape. Tee boxes were good,fairways had good coverage with never a bad lie and the greens were close to perfect.
I was in two bunkers and they had good sand but they were a little wet.
The staff was friendly and helpful.

Took advantage of the golf moose deal 2 players for $84. Played with my son and 2 of his friends.
Tee time was 10:40. Got there around 9:30 to warm up and hit a few putts. Nope. Driving range and practice greens are closed. Nothing on the web site nor were we told this when I made the tee time. Notice I saw said range closed around March 27 and would be about 2 months before it opens again. So, end of May is my guess.
Asked if we could go out early, and they got us out right away. Great customer service.
Course is in pretty good condition. Tee boxes level and good coverage. Fairways were very good. Rough not really thick, patchy in spots, but overall good condition. The few bunkers I was in had plenty of sand. One fairway bunker was firm with some scattered rocks, but definitely playable. Greens were medium speed. 1 or 2 had some small patches that need some work, but overall I thought they were very good.
Finished 18 in just over 4 hours. Since the GM deal is free replay, we went right back out. Again, customer service was great and they got us out before the next groups of golfers. The 2nd round was a bit slower. Finished the front nine and 2 of us called it quits. The other two finished the back 9.
Overall was a great day. Nice course, very good conditions, great customer service in the pro shop and restaurant. Only issue was the range and putting green. Definitely worth the price using the GM deal.

I played here yesterday,5-2-18. I was raining, or should I say misting, when I got there. I was the 1st group out as a twosome. I haven't played here in over 5 yrs. I was amazed improved everything looked. I see a lot of construction going on too. New parking facilities, and banquet rooms...Back to the golf, this course is in top shape, throughout the whole track. The tee boxes are firm and level, the fairway and rough is groomed nicely and the whole course is so picturesque. The greens are rolling med-fast and true. This is a must play..."I'll be back!"

Played here 4/8/18. POP Was good through the first 16 holes. My friend and I played 16 holes in 2.5 hours. the group in front of us did well. HOWEVER, Glen Ivy decided to have a 9:00 sunday golf tournament of seniors (MEN & WOMEN.) they started them on the back 9 and we got stuck behind 2 4 some's. It took us 35 minutes to tee off on #17. I was beyond frustrated considering i was +4 over par through 16 holes at the time playing from the tips and playing the best round of my life. Needless to say the tournament group was very rude to not let us play the par 3 #17 real quick in front of them considering we were only a two some. Anyways, fairways were in good shape. Greens were incredibly easy to read and held the ball really well. Tee boxes were even and very green and lush. Rough wasn't too bad. It was thick in some spots but thats why being in the fairway is a bonus. Staff was friendly and we paid $65 for a 6:36am tee time on a Sunday. Other than the tournament who made it take 1 hr 6 minutes for us to finish the last 2 holes, i loved this course. Glen Ivy really needs to close the course if they are going to have a tournament that plays as slow as that one did. I'll definitely come back just not when there's a tournament!!!!

We got rained out last weekend, but got out yesterday morning knowing rain was in the forecast. Teed-off a few minutes ahead of our 7:03 time and POP was 4 hrs 35 mins, which I know is slow for how empty the course was (we did let one group play through on the front nine b/c one of our players was struggling). Greens were soft (light sprinkle fell whole round) and rolled pretty true. The semi-dormant fairways weren't great, very thin with clumpy, spots of new growth. Rough was patchy too and easy to hit out of. Every tee box was great, no trouble there. The downhill holes (#1, #10, #16, #18) allow for massive drives off the tee due to extra roll-out. No beverage cart (rain), but pro shop, starter, & marshal were all nice. We'll go back again in a few years.
