We always go early and eat brkfst there, unfortunately they no longer offer their $3.99 Special, now it seems to vary and is priced at abt $7, still not too bad but no longer a bargain. We know the waitresses from before they started working there and they always treat us great. Customer Service has always been great here.

The Course - as was mentioned the tee boxes are OK, fairways are green to brown with some thin spots, rough was Ok not too long or punishing. The 2 bunkers I was in only had dirt and were crusty after drying from watering. The greens were receptive, and rolled slow to med as the sung came out. POP was 4.5 hrs, 2 some in front was a bit slow, allowed a single that was behind up to play through, we wanted to enjoy our round and he was hitting long drives.

Senior rate is worth the price.

Los Serranos - south is a "big" course, particularly from the blue tees. Some of the par fours have become a bit more than I can now handle, so might be time to "play it forward" Like playing here because the staff is always accommodating, price is right, but I sure miss all those trees lost from years ago

Greens rolled nice, and yes I continued to look for ball marks to fix as I waited to putt. ROFL....... Breakfast and lunch were great as usual Both the North course and the South course are great values during the weekday for Seniors $35, you just can't beat this place for the price.

Early morning tee time with nice smooth check in and organized first tee. Course is very green where it needs to be. Tee boxes were level and in good shape, fairways in good shape with lot of roll out. Rough is up and penal when you miss the fairway. Traps had good sand and a couple were on the crusty side. Greens have good coverage and smooth. Each green had fresh unfixed divots that there is no excuse for. Got a little warm and the wind was starting on the back nine.

Los Serranos South on Memorial Day with no holiday rate applied, so we paid $29 walking/senior with a 9:30am tee time, a very good deal. Range is on mats using older balls, they also have a small chipping area adjacent to the first tee. Not crowded at all so we were off on time and finished in 4:30 which is okay if you're walking allowing time to catch your breath after hoofing it up some of those hills.

Course conditions were generally decent. It's Kikuyu and Poa here, mostly full cover in fairways and getting thin and patchy the farther away you move into the rough. Tree lined but wide fairways, many strategically located bunkers which had good sand but were somewhat crusty and not maintained ... some not raked due to lazy golfers.

Greens were the highlight today, running medium speed and true ... only a few ball marks to fix. They're fairly large and are not terribly difficult to read with subtle breaks, no tearing or anything crazy, but you really have to take a good look at the longer rolls to make sure you don't leave yourself with a 5-6 footer.

Enjoy the layout here and would love to give Jack's Blacks a shot someday. Great clubhouse, too. Recommended.

Played Los Serranos South on Friday May 26th. at 7:33 POP was 4:11 which is pretty good but seemed slow because we waited on the 4some in front of us on every shot. They reduced the price of the South course and it was nice to see that they did NOT charge Holiday rates on the Friday before the holiday. Check in was great and got out on time. Course was in really good shape. Tee boxes, fairways, greens all real nice. I was extremely impressed with the bunkers, and yes I was in allot of them, LOL they were in the best shape I think I have ever seen them. We had breakfast before we went out and then had lunch afterward and the service was great as usual. I do like this place.

Played 4-6-17 early morning walking as a single in a little under 3 hours paying $18 using the birdie card. Tee boxes were okay mostly in good shape with a few being a little un-level. Fairways were very nice, very lush but a little long so not much roll out. Rough was cut done pretty short, maybe an inch longer than fairways. Was in a couple greenside bunkers that had very nice heavy sand. Greens have not recovered from being punched so they were very bumpy and slow. Give them a couple more weeks and they should be in good shape. Overall course is very green and in nice shape.
