Played Ridgeline/Creekside. Overall, I'd say things here are pretty good - but there a few qualifications I would add too. Ridgeline and Creekside the greens are generally in very good shape. Ridgeline were lightning quick while Creek they were somewhat more medium to medium fast. And while both were very soft (so 2 approaches plug) they were smooth and carpet like with minimal poorly repaired or unrepaired ball marks.

The iffier parts were the tees which were very raggedy in parts on the Creek 9. The signs of drought are showing up in parts of the fairways too, although the dead, yellow spots are interspersed with over-watered and marshy areas. So some parts could use more water/others less. Go figure. Overall, the fairways were more patchy and had several gur areas on Ridgeline.

I played it on an under-par deal for 65 - I think it's certainly worth that but I wouldn't pay rack.

Played on 10-6-14. Visually this course is stunning and the club house is too. I think the rack rate is a little high for the conditions right now but for $50 with a senior card it is well worth it. The tee boxes were level but a little beat up, the fairways were patchy and wet, the sand traps were inconsistant, but the greens were great. The were semi fast and rolled true. We will definetly return to play soon and the conditions will only get better with the winter moisture.

Played 10-1-14 36 holes on canyon crest/creekside, (ridgeline was closed for maintenance) in a little under 6 hours, first round as a single and joined a twosome for the second round. Tee boxes where in good shape level and lush. Fairways where a little thin with a few brown spots but still nice to hit from. Rough was 1 to 2 inches and in good shape. Found one fairway bunker with nice hard packed sand, and on green side bunker with very soft sand. Greens where in good shape, very soft with medium speed but rolling true. A few greens had some fungus in them but just small spots. Overall course is in real good shape. Pro shop and starter very friendly and run things well.

Greens were a bit mushy in the first part of our morning round but dried out nicely as the day went on. They rolled well even with a few footprints and divot damage was a minimum. Definitely the best part of the course at the moment.
The fairway on Ridgeline #2 was on the thin, dry side, but other than that the fairways were in pretty good shape. Bunkers and rough were also very playable.

POP for our first round was around 3 hours and the second round was around 4:45. It was a great deal with the UnderPar coupon. The only unfortunate part was the 3 hour drive home!

Played on Friday with lotrgolfer48 using our recently purchased Underpar coupons, $65 unlimited play. Starting out at 6:40 a.m. in cool conditions we played the Ridgeline then the Creekside nines. Later we went to Canyon Crest then Ridgeline, playing with a nice couple. Overall, the courses were very lush from tee to green. Maybe too lush as the greens were somewhat spongy. Lots of ball marks, then later a lot of footprints and ball marks. That is how soft they were. They ran medium fast, without a lot of bumpiness though. The fairways and rough were similarly very lush giving good lies throughout. Some areas of the rough were so lush you could see large amounts of cut grass covering the turf. Not so thick as to be a problem, but somewhat detracting from the beauty of the green turf. The starter and pro shop regulated play, so we had to check in between 18's for further play. One starter let me load up on used golf balls they found. That was cool, as I needed them. lotrgolfer48 left after 36 holes, but I continued until dark and played a total of 63 holes, the last 18 were with a couple of members who were really good golfers.

My broad-brush impression is that summer-time conditions have set in here. Played ridge/canyon 9's for 70 bucks. I'd say that is about the top dollar I'd want to play. Aside from the fairways and rough which I would describe as semi-lush but with a fair amount of dry spots and some GUR here and there, the main issue was with the greens. They appeared to have been aerated some time in the last 2-3 weeks and still had a thin top dressing visible. They putted better than they looked with visible aeration marks and lots of mower-burn bare spots especially around the fringes. Adding to my suspicion is the fact that about 80% of pins were within a couple of steps of the edge of the putting surfaces, likely as they tried to keep traffic off the majority of the greens, leading to one or two rather un-gettable pins...

Further, they had the spongiest feel I have ever experienced, like mattress memory-foam (If I recall......ahem). That said they were fairly smooth although medium speed at best.

Played for the first time. Bought a voucher through Livingsocial, $69 for 36 holes. But I only ended up playing 27 holes, because it was hot. Played Canyon Crest/Ridgeline (played Ridgeline twice). Creekside was closed for maintenance. Course was in good shape. Was paired with members of the course and they said they've seen better conditions. Greens were punched and sanded, so it was not the fast rolling greens (according to the members). Fairways and rough were lush and in good shape.

I like the layout. Both courses require some accuracy, and some length. Knowing the course does help with some tee shots that are semi-blind. Plenty of scoring opportunity.

I will definitely come back. I need to play Creekside, which everyone I talked to said is the toughest of the three.

Tee Time: July 03, 2014 @ 12:08 it was a perfect day to start the 4th of July weekend. we teed off on Canyon Crest and Ridgeline. Moorpark CC has proven once again, you get what you paid for. conditions were superb. start off, customer service was great and so was the starter, Gary tee boxes were leveled and fairways were well kept and green. 1st & 2nd cut were manicured as it should be. aprons pretty blended in with green areas that you could putt from if you so choose. greens were in perfect shape. speed were med/fast with a few holes a bit faster than others due to the fact that wind picked up a bit and they were getting dried. even though our scores did not reflect on these playable courses, we definitely enjoy it. to cap the day off with a few cold ones and enjoyed Moorpark's annual fireworks show, day before the 4th. will come back for sure PLEASE PLEASE RAKE THE TRAPS after your shot. two times, my ball rest in someone's footprint!!!

Played here Tuesday 6/17 mid morning. It was a perfect weather day. Played with a nice threesome of older guys. Pace of play was just under 4.5 hours. The only reason it wasn't faster is that we had to wait several times for the 4some ahead of us that was hitting from the blue tees and couldn't hit their drives more than 175 yards. Go figure. The course is in great shape. Fairways are lush and great to hit from. Tee boxes are good. The rough is not too deep and in good shape. I can't speak to the condition of the sand traps, since I wasn't in one this day. The greens were nice and smooth with medium fast speed. The course is in great condition. This is a good time to play Moorpark CC.
