Played Saturday 9/26 with the wife. First time playing here and WOW, what a course. The course is definitely in my top 5 as far as best courses go that I have played. Not sure I cared for all the non-golfers just meandering all over the place. Tough track, I played the blues and perhaps I should have played the whites. Everything course-wise was top notch...from tee to green.

Played 9/20 Weather warm with a slight breeze. Course has a lot of variety. Some of

the front nine is target golf, but not to redundant. Some holes wide open, some tree lined
great variety. Conditions near perfect. Green complexes are the heart and soul of the place. Lots of subtle breaks and a few large ones. Semi fast with a lot of roll out.
Bunkers are very nice. Lots of elevation changes make the course play a lot longer.

Final stop on my trip from SD to Monterey. Tough to say which was my favorite between here, La P, and Bayonet. I got a great deal on Golfnow so had to pull the trigger. I was going to play Rancho Maria but the pro shop didn't want to work with me on the timing of my hotdeal. Side note, I get that golf courses despise hotdeals since they make no money off them but there is value in selling food/drinks plus reviews such as these.

Ojai treated me like any other guest, let me go off early and even mentioned that I could replay the holes that I skipped due to a slow foursome. They get customer service since while I golfed 27+ holes my new wife spent $250 on spa services.

I've played the course a couple of times but had forgotten the variety it presents. For some reason I remembered it being like La Costa but it is actually much more like Aviara and Maderas. At $40 it was a steal even if the temp was pushing 100. Looking forward to heading back in the future.

Played in the late morning on Saturday 7/25. Wow, what a treat.

Tee boxes and fairways were lush and it seemed like every blade of grass was in its proper place. Rough was also lush but not too penalizing. Greens were FANTASTIC. Best surfaces I've putted on all year. Quick, smooth, and few unrepaired ballmarks. The layout, (apart from the 1st tee shot) is solid all around and what you'd expect from a Thomas and Bell designed course. Staff was very good and on top of things. My only quibble is that our cart randomly thought we were going into restricted areas while still being on the cartpath. It happened a couple times but we were having too much fun to care too much.

Just a great course for the $79 we ponied up. Can't wait to come back.

I played on 12/21. I had 3 approach shots plug in the greens! I realize there was heavy rains earlier in the week, but I played in the morning at Soule Park on the same day and played the next day at Rustic Canyon and did not have this issue. Course was playing way too soft. In addition, there is serious need of tree trimming. The 2nd and 7th holes in particular were absurd. 147 yards from the green on the right side of the fw on 7 and blocked from the green from overgrowth. Middle of the fw on 2 and a 1/3 of the green is blocked out by overgrowth. Ridiculous for place that charges what they charge.

Played 1/9/14 at noon. Greens firm smooth and fast. Approach shots rarely held the greens. Temps in high 70s with little wind. Course was open so experienced little or no slowdowns. Took 4 1/2 hrs to play with all four of us shooting in the 90's. Used Living Social and Golfnow For special low green fees w/ carts. Superb experience. All of us struggled mightily on the greens as we're used to the one's on the Oxnard plain.
