I played here Sunday, July 11th as part of the GK Event with Fastfish433, mpisarski01 and Mike. Hands down, this is one of my favorite courses to play in Las Vegas, worth the rate would be an understatement. Facility: Still, my only knock is the lack of a driving range. You can hit into a net, which does the job of warming up but I do like seeing my ball flight. As another GK'er stated, I sure looked good for the first 15 feet of my shot, ha! The bar was open for in-door dining and has a great selection of beers; I did not have any of the breakfast but the sandwich looked good and I was told it was. Putting green is great and the speeds were similar to on-course. There is also a chipping area by the first tee/starter. Course: The fairways were in excellent condition and there was no bad place to be. The sound was nice and fluffy the few times I was in there, not many rocks which is nice in the desert. The rough was still nice and wasnt too shaggy, or penalizing unless you were way off line. I didnt notice many bare spots out there, but there will be some and that is to be expected in this area. The greens were a little slower this day, but still ran smooth and pure. The tee boxes were all level and no major bare spots or divot damage. Our pace of play was around 4 hours and 15 minutes, partly because of the heat that day. All and all a fantastic outing with a great group of GK'ers!

Played Reflection Bay on a “ cooler” Sunday morning 103 degrees as part of the second day of the GK Plays. We teed off at 8am as a 3 some with Stickboy and Micheal as my other playing partners. It is a beautiful facility with a residential development nearby and some beautiful custom homes on the lake. They have 2 hotels on site and many lake toys to choose from. From check in to everyone on staff, they couldn’t be nicer and when the temperatures are in the the 1 teens people tend to get agitated, so I congratulate the staff on the great job they did plus they had a wedding they were dealing with. We played the white tees, thank you Vince.. And seeing how this was my first time there I felt it was a positional type of golf course when enough room for misses. We got lost on the getting to the tee on the 2nd hole ( A pattern will follow) and eventually arrived. Tee boxes were nice and level and par3’s had divots filled in. I thought the greens were a tad slower than the previous day at Paiute(excellent courses) and there were a few divots that I had repaired however it was pretty consistent after the first hole. From the 1st hole there are many forced carries at this course which why it carries a 136 slope rating and has a great deal of terrain with some uphill and downhill holes. I thought the fairways were in excellent condition despite the high summer heat and I was in a few sand traps which played very nice had a good base in them. Hole 6 got lost again looking for tee box, last time I let an old retired guy drive, which had another forced carry for the second shot. I have to say there was nothing I did not like about the course, and it was a fair test of golf and after the round we got to sit in coolest room in the building. I ordered the fish and chips which was outstanding and I can’t wait to return highly recommended.

Played Tuesday, 5/25, with a 6:30a tee time with Famed02, Kevbig and Jeff. Never saw the 2some ahead of us after 1 and cruised to a very enjoyable 3:30ish round. Felt like it was just us and the occasional drink cart.

The attention you get from the staff is what you should expect from a Vegas resort course. Carts were loaded and ready to go, easy check in, and fast service in the bar/grill prior to the round. The upgraded carts come with a couple bottles of water and GPS.

Course is in really good shape as the Bermuda comes out of dormancy and is starting to get thick. Tee boxes level and lush. Rough was about 1-2 inches, just above fairway heights in many areas. Bunkers were good, with some heavy sand, a couple were still wet from the early morning watering. The greens were punched about a week ago but look farther along than that, by the weekend they should be rolling fast after a fresh cut.

Reflection Bay is one of my favorites to play, challenging and fun at the same time. Course is about a week or so from being in prime shape, just ahead of the GK event.

Played this morning starting at 630. Once I passed the members on the 9th hole it was a brisk pace of 2 and a half hours. The course was in great condition on the tee boxes and fairways. Greens had a lot of old unfixed divots. Some greens had so many it looked like the greens were aerated. People need to fix their divots. Some areas around the green looked like they added new sod so it looked like gur on some holes.
Had a great time playing today and will play again using the greenskeeper coupon.

Really enjoyed the people and the course. Not a huge fan of winter conditions. Course looked beautiful, but I couldn't seem to hit the ball not on the tee or green. Homes along the course but nowhere close enough to induce anxiety about wayward shots. All the staff from carts to starter were women which was a nice change to see.

Can't wait to check out the course when it's not dormant.

Played a little GKguru round on Friday, 1/22, with kevbig, pisarski01, and circaflex.

DISCLAIMER: Reflection Bay is my favorite course to play in the Vegas area. The Jack Nicklaus Signature course differs from a few others I've played (Coyote Springs/JN Tournament at PGA West) in that it's very playable from tee to green. Mistakes are not compounded by tricky green complexes. It's like a Goldilocks story: not overly difficult, not easy, it's just right. Good shots are not penalized, and bad shots do suffer. If I play well, I score well, if I'm bad, the score shows.

Now on to the conditions. I'm not offended by dormant and painted fairways. It's winter. There is some nice roll to be found in those fairways. Rough is dormant, and sometimes dormant Bermuda is difficult to hit from. Bunkers were in good shape, with rakes to smooth out for the next player. Greens are always the highlight. Smooth and speeding up as the day went along.

Reflection Bay is a must play in Vegas and as a local, I never turn down an opportunity to play there. It's a blast to play with a good mix of par 4s, go for it in 2 and long par 5s, and 4 distinct par 3s. Service is always great. Good food and a nice beer selection. Highly recommended for a Vegas trip.

Played 1-22-21 with John and Brain teeing off around 11:30 and finishing in a little over four hours. Tee boxes were level and in good shape with nice cushioning on par threes. Fairways were dormant and painted a light green, they had tight but good lies with good padding and nice run out. Rough was not much longer than fairways and easy to hit from. Was in two greenside bunkers that were nice to hit from with a good layer of semi-heavy sand. Greens were semi-firm and fast rolling smooth with an occasional bump. Fun course with some water features and elevation changes, mostly generous fairways and some well placed bunkers around greens. Customer service is really great here especially the cart attendants. Highly recommend playing here.

Out with Gk'ers Rob, Kevbig, and Circaflex on Friday morning at 8am on a cold calm morning. Once we got to about hole 8 the calm part went away with medium to strong winds whipping through the course. The nines were reversed today which is technically the original layout. I like this layout more because hole number 1 (10 today) is a tough opener with water in play on every shot. The staff here is fantastic as expected from every trip here in the years prior and they go above and beyond to cater your needs.

As for the course conditions they did not over seed the course this year due to Covid and trying to remain near budget for the year. Word was that it costs around 250k to over seed the course so you can understand why they didn't want to spend the extra money after the tough year. Conditions were still really good with out the super lush look. The fairways were all grass and had been painted but looked good. Rough was fast and would not slow your balls very much so Accuracy was key today. Sand was decent in the one bunker that I was in and per my group was good throughout. Greens were very nice and rolled true and fast. No ball marks to be found and just a pleasure to play from.

This course is a must play in Nevada and I put it in my top 5 in the state. There is a sweet GK coupon for $125 to play here and I think that is a great value. Do yourself a favor and get out to play here you wont be upset.

I played here on 1/22 with the GK Gurus. I was paired with Rob, Matt and Kevin.

Facility: The cafe and bar was open for dining. Fairly good prices on menu and they have a large selection of various foods. I had the philly cheese steak and it was pretty darn good, would order again. There is a chipping area and putting green, the range is a large netted area that you hit into. Personally, this is the only low point of the course IMO, I cant never fully warm up hitting into a net. Its obviously the indian and not the arrow, but that would be my only low score here.

Fairways: I wouldnt consider them lush, but i wouldnt say thin. The fairways were like nice tight lies all around; the grass doesnt look good but it played pure.

Rough: Wasn't all that bad and was maintained.

Greens: Firm and fast (it was also cold out and windy).

Overall, I had an absolute blast with the GK Gurus and would recommend you play this course if possible. There are many "picture" type holes spread throughout the course, so make sure your phone is charged up :) Thank you to our wonderful hosts!
