Played today 1/24/12 Wind was blowing pretty hard which made playing a little difficult. But as for the Course, its in great condition. Drained super well after the rains. Greens excellent and fairways and tee boxes a plus. This is a great Course to play so if you haven't played this Course, you must. You will not be disappointed at all.

Played 1/19/12. Played late morning. They had us go out on the 10th because of a frost delay. Pace was a little slow but not unbearable. The course was in good shape. Not as perfect as usual but still very playable. The fairways were a little thinner than I have seen before but the greens were in excellent shape. Bunkers were perfect. I hear they are or have raised prices but it is still reasonable mid-week. A course worth playing anytime. Fun layout and a great course for walking.

Played sat 1-14. After reading the latest reviews about other courses in So.Cal. I continue to be impressed with this track. Tee boxes are great. Fairways are green and lush. No bare spots-hard pan-bad lies(except for the coot poop on 18) anywhere. Greens are up to the usual standards here: fast- smooth and VERY few pitch marks. Tee'ed off at 8:30 and finished in 4 hrs 10 minutes as a foursome. Saw the cart many times. Goose creek is just top notch all the way around.

After about a half hour frost delay we finally got out. The front nine with three par 3's makes for some slow play - the pace on the back nine was somewhat better. Great course with near perfect maintenance from tee to green. If you can stand the odor in the air the course is a 'must play'.

Not quite a 3 1/2 hour round so pace was nice. Walked the course and found the fairways to be hard and grass going away, maybe it's the weather. I still say all they need is to put sand in the bunkers and the course would be perfect.

My only concern in writing this review is that my favorite course in the area gets overrun. Note to Goose Mgt: Increase your green fees!

We played Sat, 26-Nov-11 under windy conditions (20MPH+). We went out @ 0800 and rarely had to wait to hit-finished @ 1220. The course (as usual) was in excellent condition. Tee box to green there was nothing but great golf course. It has all been said before by so many, but this is by far the best value for money in SoCal. What also bears repeating is a mention of the OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. From Jimmy (big USC fan) and the humorous starters to the very friendly kitchen/bar staff, you always get treated well at the Goose!

Played Black Friday as a threesome, 10:57 tee time. Playing conditions? Same as it ever was. Additionally, mild, clear weather with very little wind. The only deviation from the consistently well maintained norm here was the pace of play. Tee times were running about 10+ minutes late and the round was an uncharacteristic 4:40, despite the efforts of the marshal. Very slow compared to the typical experience there, but I planned for, and expected, as much on Black Friday. I figured under five hours on the day was good. No one was disappointed.

I finally got to play here for the first time today (11/8). I have heard a lot of great things about this course and wanted to check it out. And it pretty much lived up to my expectations. The only thing was that it was really really cold at 6:30am (33 degrees). We teed off as a twosome and followed a 4some. Waited at most holes but still finished in under 4hrs.
Tee box: Great condition and leveled. The tee box on 18th was being redone
Fairways: Really nice and green and well trimmed. Best part about the course
Rough: Not too long and was in good condition
Greens: Initially slow because of the wetness, so can't really say what its speed is in normal conditions. But appears to be in great condition

Overall this course is in great condition and is very nice on the eyes. Service was great as well. I guess my only wish would be to have nicer carts (w/GPS), but for the price ($49 at peek) you can't beat that in Socal. It would rival Oak Valley and Quarry as being one of my favorite course now. Also has great practice facility.
