Found a last-minute tee time on Labor Day. 8:50AM for $105. In my opinion its a fair price compared to other courses nearby in the same condition category. Check-In was easy and all of the staff members were friendly. Nice carts with GPS and Bluetooth Speakers built in.

Conditions were pretty good all around yesterday.

Tee Boxes- Blue tees were level and had mostly good area to tee up. The Par 3's were a little chewed up as they probably didnt move boxes all weekend.

Fairways- Mostly Lush and cut to perfect length the only down side was they looked freshly mowed but the cut grass was still all over on a few holes. I absolutely love the cushion that this type of grass provides and always look forward to playing here.

Greens- The greens were soft but rolled true and at a medium pace. A few greens had some divot issues but that's not the course's fault.

Rough- Rough was a mixed bag. Most of it was cut 1" but there were areas of 2-3" There are also a few types of grass to deal with.

Sand- I was not in the sand all day but our playing partners said it just OK.

I really like the layout here and I seem to always play well here as long as I keep my drives in play. If you can get a tee time its worth a play.

Played on Friday, Aug 23 on a beautiful day, 11am teetime. My friend who lives in Carlsbad and is a JC member got us an excellent rate of $69 to ride. Well worth it, albeit I just think this course has some funky holes, as we played the white tees and there are many layup tee shots and most of the par5s are forced layups for your second shots, as well. Not my favorite track, but a great day nonetheless. Course is in good to very good condition all around. Fairways were great, good cushion with decent roll out. Greens were nice, smooth putts, held shots very well. Found one bunker and it was just fine, soft sand, no complaints. Rough wasn't too penal only about an inch to two inches tall, but made you think. No problem with the white tee boxes, some were a little small and unlevel, but just took a few extra seconds to find a good spot without much problem. Customer service was excellent, very friendly from check in through finish, beverage cart came by twice and there's an easy snack bar at the turn. POP wasn't an issue, 4.5hrs on a Friday was just fine. I do recommend, but wouldn't want to play here all the time.

With the JC Players Card you get 5 free rounds so decided to play here before leaving the area. They got me right out with 2 sons and their Dad and had a great time. Weather was cool and windy so weather conditions could have been better. Found the course in great shape. Tee boxes all good. Fairways mowed and good lies with excellent roll out. Traps were all good and heard no complaints. Greens were in really nice shape and with the undulations here they were speedy and tricky. Excellent customer service at all levels. This would be my go to course if I lived in the SD area. Well one of them anyways.

First time back here since before COVID. I was lucky to find a tee time after a GK'er let me know that the hotels give up their unused times on Thursday and Friday mornings around 9am. We snagged a 7:30am time for $102 on mothersday. IN my opinion $100 for this course is plenty fair as the conditions are usually in good to great shape. We checked in and actually were able to go out at 7:20. POP was just at 4 hours, We had a 4 some in front of us but never saw the group behind so we hit some extra shots here and there to keep a nice pace. Good carts with GP and Music. Cart girl was on the front 9 but nothing on the back. Staff was friendly except the cart barn guy who didnt say anything when we returned and just stared at us as we unloaded the carts.

Conditions were good over all but I have to nitpick some things. Tee Boxes were a little chewed up and needed to be moved. Fairways had full coverage and played fine. This course has a lot of elevation changes and there are collection areas that have a lot of divots. The rough was very thick and penal today which probably caused most of my anger on the course. Around the greens near the fringe there is clumpy patches of different grasses that look bad and make putting from off the green impossible. Greens were firm and fast but received well hit shots and allowed some spin to be played. Sand traps was a mixed bag. I was in a lot of sand yesterday and a few were very firm with the lining showing and then you had some with way too much sand. I was in 2 fairway bunkers that my feet would sink 3-4 inches into the sand which is not optimal when you are 200 yards out. The one that really sucked was I had a 20-yard chip over a trap and landed 1 foot short of clearing and the ball completely plugged!!!!

All in All the course is still in good shape. I have seen it much better but with the awesome layout and decent pricing I would still recommend.

1/2 using black friday voucher $100 2some with range balls after 11 M-TH able to finally snag 1130 tee time. Paired with a couple of 30 yr old long ball golfers and very good company who played the blues while us oldsters played the gold. Conditions overall were mixed with 4 holes plus par 3s CPO mainly due to recent rains. POP right at 445 which apparently is within their goal for after 10 starts. Waited on a few holes front 9 then due to some uncaracteristic scattering of the ball often shared by more than 1 of our group we did not have anymore waits and the 4 some following never really caught up so the pace seemed better than the clock showed.
Fairways were ok with some thin lies but overall lies were adequate. Rough consisted of mixed grasses often lumpy so lies were randomly ok or just plain nasty. Found 1 bunker which had finely compacted sand. Tees were shaggy but level.
Greens continued the theme of mixed varietals leaving a camo look and contributing to occassional bumpiness. Played better than they looked but seemed to be inconsistent on speed or as a group we really did a poor job of reading slope. Green complexes are large with considerable contour and topography to consider.
This course plays hard and wayward shots are punished. But the overall setting makes the suffering worthwhile.
Friendly staff good gps soft mats on the range and nice chipping area and large putting green with less slope than those on the course.

Played this morning. Other than damp fairways the course is in good shape. Tee boxes all fine. Fairways very damp and no roll out at all. Rough was an inch deep and tough. Traps were all clean and payable. Greens were damp but they did putt fine and only dried out on 17 and 18. Great customer service from every employee dealt with. Clubs picked up at your car and delivered to the carts. Enjoyable course and taken care of really well. Recommended.

Played on Mother's Day, early teetime at 6:30, POP was just shy of 4.5hrs with no waiting. Marshall was all over the pace, in fact telling us to speed up a little bit after we fell 7 mins off pace while looking for a lost ball a couple of times.

Played the white tees and they were all just fine, no complaints. Nice and level with very little divot damage, even on the par 3's.

Fairways were all pretty good. They offered a good amount of roll, especially if you found some "speed slots" off some of the side mounding. Good coverage, some sand filled divots and some mixed grasses at some spots, but they had good cushion and I had good lies for the most part.

Sand traps were excellent. Found one fairway bunker and one greenside. Both were great, no issues.

Rough was mixed. There was some long fluffy stuff and some clover patches that were very difficult to hit from. Also had some mixed grasses growing throughout, so somewhat of a crapshoot what kind of lie you were going to get.

Greens were very fast and held shots very well. They had some diabolical pin positions and these greens are multi level and are difficult to read. Local knowledge is very helpful all around this course and I had a tough time reading them as I only played here once before and it was a long time ago.

Local knowledge is also very helpful with the layout, good thing they have a nice GPS on the carts, you will use it a lot for layups off the tee and layups for par 5's. Don't need driver off many of these tees. I used a couple of irons and my 4 wood several times off the tee.

Customer service is excellent, they have a bag drop and the snack bar attendant was great. Saw beverage cart once, but didn't use it. Starter was friendly and check in was just fine, I got the JC Players rate from my playing partner at $85 and felt it was worth it. Fun course, but wouldn't want to play here everyday, it's got some "tricked up" holes that I didn't care for, but definitely recommend playing every once in a while.

The Crossings is in fantastic shape from tee to green and unfortunately, they are punching greens on the 28th of this month. Get out and play now it is the best it has ever been.

2/2 using black friday promotion voucher $100 2some after 11am with a small bucket on a very pleasant SC day. Very busy but got out right at 1210 with POP about 425 with limited waiting and CPO on 1/2 the holes. Fairways were mostly on the thin side but still provided ok lies. Rough was inconsistent with some thicker juicy areas that were pretty grabby if the ball had settled down. Lot of unfilled divots more so on the CPO holes. Tees were in good shape. Bunkers had well groomed deep and heavy sand that played tough. Greens were really good, receptive and consistent at medium fast speeds. A few pins were in marginal places as slight misses were overly punished especially 17 placed to the rt front where from the left or above the hole there was an extra 6 feet of roll and from the left a pronounced u turn at the hole. Overall knowing where the ocean was really mattered. Also a temp green on 16 as there is bunker work in progress Staff friiendly and welcoming.
