Booked online 6/3/25 10:20 tee time. :40 min. ride from O.C. $69.00 for green fees, small bucket, cart fee. In my opinion this calculates as a $$ dollar value not single $. New range balls . Carts are newer with the auto brake system, but no GPS. Tee boxes top condition! Fairways nice, almost country club like, traps soft, workable. 5hr. start to finish. Jim the starter was pleasant as usual, but would not adjust my single status and insisted I play with 3 ladys 90, 88,78 and thats not their handicaps. First hole alone took 19min. to complete! I made it quite clear I'm no pro but my Handicap stands at 13.7 looking straight in his eyes...as I turned to stare at my new partners. I even expressed to him a similar situation happened last time I played here. Crickets from Jim. With that off my chest, the course was in great shape greens better than average very healthy condition holding shots nicely. Hit the bar resturant post game to a ever friendly Miguel! Hear he is retiring very soon, make sure you let him know how much you appreciated his service after 27 years! Thanx Miguel.

Played here today joined by sparky14 with a 7:00 tee time. Paired with a twosome of nice guys. Started pretty much right on time and despite waiting on the group in front of us all day, POP was good at about four hours and five minutes. Cloudy, misty morning but no rain to speak of.

Conditions are good. Greens are smooth, medium-fast, and medium firmness. They accepted full shots well but felt firm when fixing ball marks. Fairways were really nice, cut short but still providing a little cushion under the ball. Rough was in good condition and probably 2 to 3 inches deep in most places, putting a premium on hitting the fairway, although I wouldn't say it's tough to hit out of rough; you just won't get as much spin on the ball. I was only in one bunker and it was great. No complaints with the blue tee boxes; all good.

Always a fun course despite the unfortunate routing in many spots. Recommended.

Played a rare afternoon round, starting after 1:30 pm on Tuesday, walking the whites with my grandson and a twosome. I probably should have checked the weather report, it was pouring rain as we were going up the 9th hole and many golfers were sheltering at the clubhouse when we passed through. We heard thunder starting on the 10th hole and we ended up walking off after the 13th hole when we saw a relatively close lightening bolt. Played the front nine in about 2:15; my group was a shot behind so it could have been a little faster.

The greens are a mixed bag right now. The are running medium at best and a few have a fungus problem with #2 looking the worst. They were a challenge because they were not breaking as much as usual and some downhill putts were left short, not usually a problem here! The rest of the course is okay. It definitely could use the rain as it is generally dry. I had some lousy lies off the fairway even considering the rough is cut down. I had a few bare lies in the fairway also.

I have seen the course better but it is still the best deal in town, especially with a Senior Card.

Played last Saturday at 6:50 am. The parking lot was crowded when I got there at 6:15. The course moved along okay, with a 4:15 POP. The snack shack was not open when we passed it between the 11th and 12th holes but I saw that it was open when we were on the 17th tee. Opening at 10:00 or later, there were no services available, other than the range, for the early morning golfers. Glad I brought my own coffee.

The course was playing firm and fast. The fairways were pretty tight and the rough was generally cut down. It was pretty dry also with some bare spots. The highlight was the greens. They were fast and true. Really nice right now. The best I have seen them here in a while. The sand traps have been pretty bad lately, with little sand. I was in one/two when I went for the green on my second shot on 18. The trap was filled with thick beach sand. I popped it out to the next bunker, where it plugged on my 10' shot. I was able to get up and down for par but the sand made it really tough. I am not a fan of beach sand but it is better than no sand! Glad to see they are working on improvements there.

Overall, a beautiful morning on a muni court in pretty good shape. About as good as it can get while conserving water as they obviously are.

I understand that Grandview GC had a new irrigation system installed and removed a few acres of turf to comply with the State of AZ water mandate. You can tell that the water coverage has improved by the condition of the fairways, tees and greens. Good bunkers are fun to hit out of and Grandview GC has that as well! The value you get for your green fee dollar is AWESOME! The staff in the pro-shop was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. They were fun to interact with during my check-in process. If you are looking for a country club experience you may be a little disappointed, if you are looking for a great practice facility and well conditioned golf course with enough challenging holes to bring the best back out to play, you have found your next favorite hangout. Oh yeah, did I tell you the green fees were very reasonable? They are, Don't book all the tee times 'cause I want to play too!

Played 5-29-25 early morning as a single walking in under 3 hours for $22(senior rate). Tee boxes were just okay, with some having been re-sodded, others on the thin side, and some with good coverage and level. Fairways were decent with some bare and thin spots, but good lies when on the green stuff. Rough was kind of a mix of everything, from some bare spots to some areas of 5-6 inches with everything in between. Was in one greenside bunker that had a decent layer of sand but heavy and wet in the morning. Greens were okay rolling a little on the slow side and a little bumpy with some bad areas on the edges on some. Looks like they re-sodded the back portion of the third green and it hasn't taken yet, hopefully it fills in over time. Overall the course is a little rough, but looks like they are working on getting it in better shape.

Had a fun foursome out at Encino this past week and got absolutely hammered by the heat being far too dumb to actually try and walk it. Not smart! I ended up having to jump into my friend's cart around the 14th hole as I was getting dizzy in spells.

Price is always right at the Encino/Balboa complex and this day was no different, but we also had (for the first time I can ever remember) cart service riding around with drinks and snacks - color me shocked! POP was very good for the day apart from the always crowded par 3 15th hole that always jams up.

Course conditions were mostly average to good with the highlights being the greens. They are in good shape, run smooth and medium-fast - no complaints at all. The fairways are a little burned out to be honest, but not terrible. Rough is very manageable and wont' get you into too much trouble. Bunkers were a little on the thin side but playable, while the tee boxes (we played the blue tees) were serviceable - far from pristine but flat and decently covered.

This course won't win any beauty pageants anytime soon but it gets the job done every time.

Went to play today. No notice that they had punched the fairways yesterday and finishing today. Place was a mess and patrons, especially a group having a mini tournament were furious. I played the back 9 only and every fairway was a mess. Like walking through a dog park with you know what on the ground.

June 1, $65 Eagle Falls at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio...Course is tops in all areas from the driving range to sand in traps both fairway and green side. You get near the greens and grass is so perfect like chipping, pitching off mats, just have to be careful that the spin you hardly ever get does not keep stopping your ball short shot after shot. Place is in such good shape even the flag sticks and cups look new and cups cut sharp and level NICE. Only down side is the heat, which was not bad on June 1st, but having to wait on two groups of "Good Old Boy" golfers, (need to get close and watch each others shot instead of going to your shot and being ready) made it a little over 4 hours when conditions are so good it should not have been.

Played today for the first time since I played it 6+ years ago. Fun track, fun holes, great staff everywhere from the Pro Shop to the cart guys to the marshal and the maintenance crew. Greens were great. Fairways were a little rough and bare in some areas and really nice in others.The rough is thin in many places and it's sometimes a trick to know where the fairway ends and the rough begins. Avoiding the bunkers on the course is a priority as the sand has some gravel-sized rocks in it which are not fun to hit with nice irons. Nice practice putting green. All in all a really fun day and I will look forward to playing it again.

Played Sat May 31st. It is hard to give this course a low rating but they were closed for a few days earlier to aerate the greens and punch the fairways. The course winds through lava rocks pretty much on every single hole. I did receive a discount on the golf because of the conditions.

Invited by my friend in SD to play here this morning. We picked here because it was half way for both us and we got an early tee time. 1st ones out so POP was fantastic. I have not been here for many years but after today I would have no hesitation in going back. New clubhouse is excellent as well as the food and service. Course is in great shape. They flipped the nines around for any of you who have played here. Its like (as many know) playing 2 different 9's. Elevation changes and 2 long par 3's on the front with 3 par 5's and 3 short par 3's and no par 5's on the back. It is a par 70 with 37 F and 33 back. Blue 5718, White 5396, Gold 4808. But the greens are not large and many of them are elevated from the fairways. Not a lot of bunkers to deal with. The course itself is in very nice shape at the moment. Though a little damp from over night watering the fairways provided some roll out but they are lush and had great lies all round. Tee boxes are all level and playable. Sand was a little damp so not optimal early AM but was only in one and out OK so no harm. Rough was no issue but there are OB areas and some creeks and water holes to deal with. Greens were all very playable to chip and putt on and held good high shots very well. The new carts with GPS are very good. Customer service was excellent at all levels. Cost was $55 but they gave both of us 10% off for being veterans and free coffee. Enjoyable course IMO and recommended. And for those of you close by they have a discount program on the rates
