27-hole parkland layout in immaculate condition. Staff was super kind in welcoming me out. Fun layout with beautifully sculpted bunkers, Augusta like. Took me a few holes to figure out they were fall off bunkers and if you weren't precise in your approach shots they would just spill off into the multiple deep, big lipped greenside bunkers. Greens were perfect and fast.

Looks like some of the holes were built at different times, so every now and then a hole would seem out of place. All the housing that boarders the course also looks multi-generational, mansions next to small ranch styles so also incongruous.
Fun layout highly recommend if you get the chance.

Nice central valley course. I assume the Valley/ Oaks nines are the original course and the lakes was added later. Solid parkland course in OK shape. Fairways dormant and very spotty, I bumped on almost every shot. Sand traps were a little thin but very playable. The greens were smooth and med/fast, but I don't think I made a putt until about 15.

The lakes 9 seemed like a more wide-open links style. Definitely more interesting than the other nines. I played on Friday and it was $65 with cart for the 18, overpriced in my opinion but all three nines are very walkable and maybe $20 cheaper.

Raced over here after Riverland. $29 @4:00PM with cart. No dormant fairways here, course was super green and probably needed a mowing. 6521 from the white tees and it played loooong.
Greens were smooth at medium speed, and I wasn't in any traps. Pretty basic parkland layout, not very memorable but I speed thru and played it in 90 min, so it was going to be a blur no matter what. I thought it was worth playing but definitely the last to play in the area.

Great layout in not-so-great shape. I really enjoyed the course but not the best time of year to play. Reviews weren't great but I got a Golf Now deal so I didn't really care. Apparently, the traps have all been hard pan for many years. A shame because there are plenty of them and they are well sculpted and deep. I was in quite a few and had no trouble chipping out of them an onto the greens, fun to hit multiple shots I never get to hit and not get punished.

Fairways were dormant and spotty, better lies in the rough because they got plenty of rain this year. Greens putted just fine at medium speed which was all I really cared about. Hopefully they get the course back in shape because it is a pretty cool layout.

This course is a beast if you have not played it many many times IMO.

It reminds me of Black Gold only on steroids.

This is also one of Arnold Palmer's signature designs and it won't disappoint you. Plenty of uphill, downhill holes with many canyons, marsh areas in between tee boxes and fairways to carry to the green.

Par 72 with a back consisting of 3 Par 3's and 3 Par 5's. Don't let the 6619 yards from the back tees fool you. I believe this course will give anyone a run for their money.

I found the tee boxes to be just fine. They are planning to redo all of them in a few months.

Fairways are generous but all of them are guarded by brutal rough and many many OB areas. Hit it in the rough and you won't find it. I know that for a fact. But they provide unbelievable run out and great lies.

The traps I escaped but they did not look good to me. That was the one area I found not to be in good shape.

Greens are good size but are firm and today were playing at 11. Add in a little wind and you could land in front of the green but it would roll all the way off the back if you landed to far on you shot. Local knowledge would be helpful on playing to these greens.

The course was in good shape given the weather we have had up here over the last 3 weeks. And the price of $52 with cart was reasonable for the course conditions. And its an easy course to find off I 80 E/W with the exit at Hiddenbrooke Parkway in Vallejo.

The signature hole is # 13 a Par 3 over a deep canyon with no bailout. Very similar to Black Gold's number 7.

I will go back when the weather turns nicer and give it go again. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants a stern test of their game on a very enjoyable layout.

I played here a couple of weeks ago and was just really blown away. I've read a couple of google reviews about bad staff, but my experience was fantastic. They were super friendly and helpful. The course layout was amazing; it's on the short side but with the narrow fairways and obstacles it was super fun and challenging. The greens were fantastic and rolled well, no unfixed ball marks. The fairways were perfect, especially considering they were not overseeded and were all hybrid Bermuda. The greenside bunkers were soft, and the fairway bunker I hit was a little firm just like they should be. The elevated tee boxes were small, and I can definitely see how a lot of play would be challenging to manage but they were level and had great coverage were the markers were at. Looks like they have new carts with gps yardages and geo fencing. I would 1,000% recommend playing. Great value, great course.

First time playing and putting on a golf tournament at Aliso Viejo Country Club 3-2-2026.

I found the course to be a very fun layout allowing ample room to let the driver rip. The layout featured a good mix of short and long Par 4s as well as risk/reward Par 5s. They had a good mix of short and long Par 3s with my favorite Par 3 the steep downhill hole 12. The hole 12 tee box provides a fantastic panoramic view of the property and surrounding mountains/valley.

The most challenging aspect of the course IMO was the approach shots. Most approach shots were to elevated well-guarded greens. On the greens, it was tale of two nines. The front nine greens were about average size with some undulations. The back nine greens were larger showcasing multiple tiers. I loved the back nine greens.

The golf course was in great shape with exception to some thatching/aeration zones in a few fairways. Those areas were marked GUR. The greens ran mostly smooth, little firm at medium speed. Tee boxes were level, cut tight and lush. The rough was lush cut down to just above fairway height. The bunkers all contained quality sand and were well groomed.

From an organizer’s perspective, I was impressed with how well organized and super serving the staff was. I wish they had a driving range, but the large hitting stall station served our group just fine. I loved how they staged the golf carts uniformly in line making it very easy for our players with a fancy touch. We did not opt for a snack bar but rather beverage cart service available prior to play and during the round. Super cool how the beverage cart created a special Vivid Golf Mull drink for our group.

Our group had a super time and I’m already looking into booking another event!

I played here today. First time ever playing this course as it was built in 1999 and I left Sacramento many years before that. I found the course to be intersting to say the least.

Course in Davis off Hwy 113 and road 29 and Pole road.

In speaking with the cart manager he tells me the course is owned by a local family group and they are the 5th owners.

The course is an intersting design combining moguls, water, large carry areas and very rarely do you have a level lie. Holes # 15 and 18 provide a huge challenge with very large carries required for the 2nd (more likely a 3rd) after your drive, unless you are a long hitter.

The course is just coming around after much rain in the area and one can see that maintenance was delayed but is frantically catching up. Also the course is greening up but needs time to fully fill in and all the beautiful trees to come into bloom. Right now it looks a little stark.

I had no tee box issues. Fairways while still filling in did provide a good measure of decent lies and some even excellent rollout. Many of them are below the cart paths and are narrow putting a premium on hitting the fairway. And you can easlily go out of bounds with errant tee shots. And also more often than not you will not have a level lie.

Rough was not much of an issue as you could play out of it but advancement was limited. I was not in any bunkers but they all appeared groomed and cleaned for play for the day.

Greens were in very nice shape. They are large but w/o a lot of undulations but being large they do put the fear of a 3 putt in ones mind. And all of them are above the fairway to some degree. Something I have experienced here in N CA vs the flat courses in S CA (not all but most).

The par 3's are an excellent form of design and fun to play.

Great customer service in the shop and cart personnel. Did not get to use the resaurant but it was very nice in appearance.

Driving range and putting green. Golf carts are functional but are not in the best of appearance.

All in all I had an enjoyable time and will find time to go back when the weather is nicer and the course has rounded into better condition. I would not hestitate to recommend this course if you are in the area.

Played in group 1A of the Golf Moose / Vivid Golf / GK event here on Monday with mpisarski, stickboy, and John. Great to catch up with stickboy and fun times all around! Pace was typical for these events at about 5:00. Gorgeous day with only a slight wind.

Conditions are quite good. Greens were smooth, medium speed, and medium firmness. Full shots seemed to take a bounce before stopping, and you had to really get some good spin on shorter shots to get them to check quickly. Blue tee boxes were all nice; no issues. The fairways were really good – great coverage and just the right amount of cushion under the ball. Rough was mostly light, two-inch-deep bermuda but could get penal when the ball sank down in it. The two bunkers I was in were solid with plentiful sand.

I’ve lived within a couple miles of this course for the last 17 years but hadn’t played it since before the private club was established in 2008. Much of the back nine is routed across the hillsides, providing great views of Saddleback Mountain and the entire Saddleback Valley. The greens have some good contours and could get really challenging with faster speeds. Great day all around!

Played Sunday, March 1st, 8am teetime, but the starter got us out about 20mins early which was awesome. POP no problem, a smooth 4hrs. We had three of us walking and one riding.

Conditions sure are a mixed bag. Teeboxes were acceptable. Level, no problem, but a little shaggy with plenty of divot damage. Just take an extra few seconds to find a good spot to tee it up.

Fairways were borderline, very shaggy, hadn't been mown for days. Quite a few unfilled divots and lots of bare areas, too. We played the ball down, but I sure wouldn't argue if you played some winter rules right now, they are in pretty poor shape in about 50% of the fairway area.

Greens were acceptable. No huge complaints. They were a little slow on the front nine but quickened up after the dew dried. Plus it seemed the entire back nine was in a little better condition than the front. They held shots very well, but had a few bumps to throw your ball off line every once in a while.

Found one greenside bunker and it was great. Nice fluffy, well maintained sand. No problem whatsoever.

Rough was thick and filled with clover. Avoid it at all cost, if possible. Very difficult to even find your ball in that clover as the ball tends to sit underneath the big clover leaves.

Service was great except the guy in the proshop was quite the dud. I mentioned that Sea n Air was $53 to walk and Miramar was $55 to walk making a joke and he didn't want any part of that conversation. It was a joke, sir, lighten up. Starter was awesome!! and the beverage cart was great!!! Very friendly bev cart and saw her twice.

Super flat course, easy walk. There are some great holes out there, though. Nice dog legs and tree lined for the most part which was visually appealing on many holes. I would definitely recommend.

Played today. Course is lush and drying out after lots of rain. They had all the fairways mowed and lies and rollout were very good. Tee boxes good. Rough is half inch and not very playable. Traps playable. The greens here all elevated and that makes every hole very challenging. Nothing like S CA were its flat. + many are guarded by traps or water. And they are not flat but lots of undullations making putting challenging. Open to the public so if you are in the area try it out
Super maintenance by the staff. Food is great and so inexpensive

Walked the blues this morning 3/2/26 under perfect scoring conditions with hardly any wind and temps around 71 degrees. Played with 3 nice singles and even though pop was just under 5 hours didn't seem to bad.

Had not played here in about 14 months and really miss this course. It's in fabulous shape and I can understand why tee times are hard to come by especially for a twosome through foursome.

The greens were in fabulous shape running medium to quick speeds probably a 10.5 on the stimp, Holding shots nicely. Just a joy to putt on. Very undulating greens here. Good Lag putting is a must. Rated 9/10

These fairways are thick and lush with not lots of runout. Terrific lies to compress irons on. Rated 8.5/10

Tees very lush and mostly level. Rated 8.5/10

Rough lining the greens in pga tour shape 10/10. Fairway rough much improved since I have been out here in the 8/10 range.

Was only in one bunker all day that had damper sand from sprinkler/water run off.

One of the best courses in socal, mentioned in all the golf magazines. If u get a weather day like today it's even more magical.

Recommended.
